Michael Callahan: Hi! This is Michael Callahan and doctor file finder. Welcome to your butterscotch.com tutorial on how to change the mouse options on your Mac. So, on the Mac, I'm going to open up system preferences, you can do it from here in the doc or you can click on the apple menu and go down to system preferences. Now, here in the system preferences, we'll double click on keyboard and mouse.
Second options is the mouse, you can see here if you are using the mighty mouse, you have a primary button and a secondary button and a fourth button on the side. You also have this button on a tap and you can configure it to do the dash board applications, which are do X plus A via primary button and so on. We have similar options for all of the other buttons that you have.
So, you can turn button four off, you can have it to spot light, you can have it to dash board or spaces. So, it gives you a lot of versatility as far as scrolling, you can do vertical and horizontal, 360 degree, vertical only or you can turn scrolling off. And here again, you can control the speed of the tracking, the scrolling, and the double click. And you can zoom using the scroll bar by holding down a certain key and you can pick whichever key you want. You also have options that when zoomed in, the screen image moves continuously with the pointer or only when the pointer reaches an edge, so the pointer is at or near the center of the image.
So, we have lots of options with the Mac mouse, lots of different things you can do so that you can control it exactly the way you want. And that's all there is to it.
