Audra Lowe: Has your relationship lost a little of that sizzle that he used to have maybe if your at a loss for how to put the spark backing your relationship. Well the relationship expert Matt Titus and Tamsen Fidel are the perfect couple to help revive your love.
Tamsen: Hey, everybody Matt and Tamsen here answering your questions about love, sex, dating and relationships. Okay today's question. Dear Matt and Tamsen my husband and have been married for five years. And the passion between us has died were not nearly as intimate as we used to be and we see more like roommates than husband and wife what can I do to keep the fire alive that's something. That’s not the first time we've heard this question.
Matt: No, it happens a lot because everybody sort of becomes complacent in the relationship they don’t think they have to do the things that they used to do when they first met each other.
Tamsen: Yeah, no one is dating any, right.
Matt: So what we try to do is try to get every couple to try to make your relationship like it was consider one big long first date.
Tamsen: And put it first.
Matt: The relationship powers everything and you have to preserve it. And try to keep it intact and keep the way it was when he first met.
Tamsen: Yeah, I that like you, you know and we do its build the other tips you know works comes, you’re walking the dogs, and you’re taking care of kids.
Matt: You’re working together.
Tamsen: You're working together and it can be really difficult though and if you're no putting the relationship first then and whatever else is coming first is going in to take president eventually take over.
Matt: And for those couples that are working together remember there is a shot off time and there is a quite—
Tamsen: You got blackberries everything.
Matt: Everything, you got to flip into another role after 5 o'clock or 6 o'clock you become husband wife again not business partners and it really have some—if you're working a home together like we are we’ve been home office. Then he shot that's part of the apartment down you move into living room the kitchen and become husband wife and you jump and those roles because you can't keep their roles the same.
Tamsen: And then if you're not working at home you know you come home for more pinches seems like the same old same on the have to break it up somehow. I think it's always important put one or two nights aside the week to have some time.
Matt: Date night.
Tamsen: Yeah I really did sound really cheesy. But it works is it you know that on Thursday night you're going to a move, you're going to you know just I don't care if it’s a walk or you going to work out together. You doing something together and its preplanning you're looking forward to it.
Matt: Exactly because again the relationship powers everything it makes a family strong, it makes to children you know they're brought up well. You've got to preserve the relationship important first.
