Mediterranean Great Room Makeover Color Splash with David Bromstad David: The info sheet I got on Diana and Russell was adorable. I guess they’re newly weds and the picture of that was they showed was holding her up which is so cute. They’ve been living with his parents for like the last year and a half to save money so they can buy. They’re waiting for me to do their main living space for them to move in. Diana: Designing a home is really overwhelming. We don’t know where to start so hopefully David will really simplify that. Russell: It really made, we both in dorm style. David: A little bit better than dorm style. Russell: Okay. Diana: We’ve been living with our parents for about a year and half. Russell: Living with his mom and dad really for me it’s great my mom is a type of mom where she basically does everything for me. My laundry is done, dinner is on the table it feels like a personal concierge. David: How about style? Diana: Oh well I actually have an inspiration piece to show you, this is actually my favorite blanket I crawl up to it anytime I read a book. I love the color it reminds me of you know… Russell: Our trip to Italy remember. Diana: Yeah trip to Italy. David: So we’re looking for a Italian Mediterranean. Diana: Tuscanny, like warm colored walls like some nice oakers. Russell: Yeah. David: Some really comfortable furniture. Russell: Yeah exactly. What do you think about lighting. Diana: We put in recess lighting. David: Recess lighting is really nice to have. It’s just a great way to create ambience. Russell: Logistically, there’s a space there that’s really small. David: Don’t even think about that. Don’t say hi electrician make this happen whether he’s squished up here or not that’s not your problem. Diana: David is amazing I can tell that he has all sorts of great ideas for a house and I can’t wait for him to get started. David: Check it out. Come in, no close, open. Russell: Wow. David: Come in, come in. Diana: Oh my God. Look at that. Russell: Wow this is awesome. David: This is a buffet and this is to have all your wine over here and all your table linens and dishes. Diana: We have all of our wedding china and I actually had no idea where I was going to put it. This is like… David: This is the parchment finish that Danielle did and the reason why wanted to do this is it creates a lot of life to the walls and it makes it look aged like it’s been in Tuscany and it’s been through a lot and it has Danielle has done a lot to it. Russell: I didn’t realize the table could actually fit here. David: Its perfect size. Russell: It works. David: It works and this actually extends so when you guys have friends over you can actually fit more people here. Diana: And you’re going to have those romantic Chinese takeout dinner right here. Diana: For the first time I feel totally at home and I thank from the bottom of my heart David so much. David: You’re welcome. Diana: Thank you. David: You’re welcome it’s my pleasure.
