Merry Bocconcini Gifts
I think a really nice treat whatever time of the day you’re entertaining us especially
during the holidays is to give your guest a little take away, little take home present. So I
bought two big containers of Bocconcini. That’s what these little guys are called. You’ve
seen this right little bite size pieces, welcome into mouth little bite size nibbles of fresh
mozzarella cheese.
I want to get all the wet off here because I’m going to make some marinated Bocconcini
here and I don’t want the olive oil beget cloudy so I’m going to just spread out on a clean
kitchen towel so that these guys can get all the wet off and I got these little jars. Again,
you can find this all over the place around the holiday time because it’s the time of
making and sharing food, right? So you can pick piece up at a variety of a discount stores
and in each one, I’m going to put a couple of sprigs, fresh whole rosemary.
Now, maybe you’ve seen even marinated Bocconcini right in the stores but they never
use enough fresh herbs and enough garlic flavors for me. So I like to make my own and
then I’m going to put in a few sprigs of time, each one so it will be nice and lemony and
fragrant and then I’m going to just pop a clove of garlic and put one big whole clove of
garlic in each one. Come here little bagger, give him a bigger whack there.
And again, you can make a lot of these gifts or a little mix of great gifts for teacher at
school, makes a great gift to give to your neighbors because you know, I’m not so nuts
about the whole baking of the cookies thing. I make a great five minute fudge and I make
a kilo little marinated Bocconcini. There we go and one of this in each kind and it’s a
perfect gift to live for the postman right in the mail box or to give to somebody who helps
who helps you out around the house. Food is always the perfect gift.
Okay, now we’re going to get the bulk. Oh, you know what I almost forgot my crusher
pepper flakes. I like things spicy, so I’m going to put in about a teaspoon in each one here
and just measure it right in the palm of my hand. Here we go and then we just fill about a
quarter of the balls in each one here. You want about a dozen balls per jar. Here we go.
Come down here to this little guy. See how fast and easy this is. They else got nothing on
me baby. I make this fast.
Okay, now we’re going to top them off with some good all E.V.O.L, beautiful. Nice, look
how quick that one.
