Micheal Jordan was born February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. As a teenager, Jordan was looked at among his siblings as one of the one who is probably going to succeed. He can never really hold a steady job and even in his freshman year playing basketball in high school, he was kept from the team because he’s only 5’11” and he was too skinny.
When he went on to play in the NBA however, he played 13 seasons with the Bulls and his size now is 6’6” and his versatility allowed him to play even from point guard to small forward. Jordan once sits NBA championship with the Bulls. From 1991 to 1993, they won three championships and again from 1996 to 1998, they won another three.
He also won MVP for the season five times, he also won the Rookie of The Year in his first year in 1985, he is one of the Best Defensive Player of The Year, pretty well any major word out there, Michael Jordan has won. Every single year Jordan had the Bulls made it to the finals, he won that NBA finals MVP. He was also one of the elusive MVP Triple Crown which is winning the All Star MVP, Regular Season MVP and the Finals MVP, he did that twice.
In October of 1993, Jordan announced his retirement from NBA basketball, something that factor to his decision was the murder of his father in July of that year. There have been many unproved theories about why Jordan decided to retire. Then the year before his retirement, he admitted that he had to cover $57,000.00 in gambling losses and one theory states that Jordan and the NBA decided that he should take a break from basketball for a few years to kind of get rid of the spotlight.
However, three days after Jordan retired, the NBA completely absolved Michael Jordan of any wrong he is doing, and they said that he do not violate any lead rules. After Jordan’s unsuccessful stint in professional baseball and the professional baseball strike 1994, this lead Jordan to reconsider joining the Chicago Bulls.
