Hi! My name is Dante Gagne and I am here on behalf of Total Training to present Total Training for Microsoft Expression Blend.
Blend is a premier User Interface design tool for creating new experiences based on the windows presentation foundation. The most aspects of Blend have been tailored to bring the designer into the application development work flow.
Now, I joined Microsoft in 2002 and I work as a Combination Developer and Tester. During my time with the team, I have helped evolve early concepts and ideas into the tool that you see today. I have watched Microsoft designers use Blend to not only create the UI for their applications, but even the UI for Blend itself. I have learned from them how they use a tool and I have taken that feedback to drive the improvements into the tool. I can honestly say that I how Blend works because I know why it works.
Microsoft has been making training classes available for their own employees on how to use Blend and I am personally responsible for creating the content form and actually teaching those very classes. Before Microsoft Center ventures into the field to teach others how to use Blend, Microsoft sends them to me to learn how to use it in the first place.
Now, Total Training has invited me to share that knowledge with you. To begin with, not everyone may be familiar with the Blend UI. The User Interface has been built from the ground up, so there is a new paradigm here, as well as some that you are probably already familiar. Let us start with the tour.
