Hi folks, welcome to Mike Herbert’s in playfavorites.com. On the first I have little classical pieces that I was going to put out. So let us have a look at this very simple, classical pieces it is in the key of A, nothing too difficult but it does look very spectacular because.
(Demo)
Because of this pick is right on technique. So, 3rd string, first fret and then 2nd fret and then back hold on the first fret and we hit the second of 3rd string three times.
(Demo)
Then an open first string and then hold the 2nd and 3rd strings on the 2nd fret and do all this three hits again. So I will show you that from the beginning, one, two, three, and four.
(Demo)
We then slide our ring finger up to the fourth fret, one hit and then the first string open and then we are down with the first lock chords. Fist string on the 4th, first finger on the 4th string first fret and pinkie on the 1st string 2nd fret and this is the technique if you look at right time on this sort of thing.
(Demo)
And then we slide forward one fret with the first finger and two frets with the pinkie to this position.
(Demo)
And then we stop, start at the beginning again. So, the first section is this, one, two, three, and four.
(Demo)
Back to the beginning.
(Demo)
And then we finish the major by moving the first finger forward one fret and play for a string open on the 4th string fret to the 2nd.
We then have a little lead up to the middle section to first string, here 1st string, 2nd fret.
(Demo)
4th fret and in to this 3rd of all positions.
(Demo)
And then the first of the positions.
(Demo)
And open 1st string and slide up to the middle of the positions.
(Demo)
And then 3rd string 1st frets and 1st string open.
(Demo)
And then 4th fret and the 1st string open.
(Demo)
And then A chord.
So, there we go nice, simple, straight forward classical piece. I will just play for one more time nice and slowly and then you could play along, one, two, three, and four.
