Mind Stimulating Activities for an Elderly Family Member

Hi! I'm Dorian Martin and I'm an advocate for Alzheimer’s. Today, I’d like to talk to you about what you can do with an elder to help stimulate their brain. One of the best things that you can do is get them to exercise whether it’s riding a 0014 party or walking 30 minutes, exercise can pay a big diffidence in brain health. Hoppies are a great way to stretch the brain whether it’s 0024, playing in a bridge group or putting together a puzzle.

Speaking of puzzles, many people like to use crossword puzzles as a way to maintain brain health. Getting elders to think about their past and talk about is a great way to help strengthen the brain. Find an old picture book, pull it out and sit down with your loved one and get them to tell you stories in relation to the past. Singing songs is a great way to engage in elder’s minds and that’s how I see as an Alzheimer’s advocate. You can also go to Google and type in activities for elderly people to get additional information.
