Lucy McCausland: Hi! I am Lucy McCausland from AKA Spot. We are a dog store in
Arlington, Virginia. We are here today to talk about how to dress your dog
for Halloween. Right now, I am going to tell you about the minimalist
approach to the costume contest or parade that you might want to enter
this year.
As we know, every dog does not enjoy getting dressed up in the costume,
but you still may want to go out and have some fun and be a part of the
festivity. So, there are a couple of different ways to do that. I am here
today with Lisa and Gracie, Jessica and Stuart big, and this is Beckett.
Gracie is wearing a little Halloween bandana, all sizes, all colors; a lot of
them are reversible. Stuart is wearing an attractive Halloween collar. They
also come in many colors and sizes, and they are just really easy, and most
dogs tolerate them pretty well. They are usually are stretchy band that just
goes right over the dogs head like that, and then you can go on the parade
with all your friends.
So, the main thing to remember is that whatever you use for the minimalist
approach, it shouldn’t choke or bind. The dog has to be able to perform all
the bodily functions in the minimalist costume that it normally does. You
should try the minimalist costume on and then go ahead and put your
regular collar or harness and lead on and take a short dry run around the
block and make sure that, that outfit is something that you are going to be
able to live with.
So, anyway, that’s how you approach Halloween with the minimalist
costumes and have fun.
