I am Steve Turano, welcome to this episode the body performance.
Did you see the article that came across the AP wireless it is probably in your newspaper, probably on the internet? It talks about how are all we people were, I got to use the “F” word, and how fat people had this misperception of how they ate and how they exercise. You know, the problem was the statistics in the article were pretty similar for fat people as they were for normal people.
So, how do you come to conclusion that fat people are clueless and have no idea why they are getting fat. The reason is, the statistics, do not lie for the diagnosis. Thus, meaning all you have to do is eat just a little bit more or exercise a little bit less and then you will begin to gain weight. You See, it is the small calories per day that add up to pounds per year. A hundred calories a day will put ten pounds on you at the end of the year. After 20 years, that is 200 pounds.
Now, what a 200 pounds over weight people running around America? It is 20, 30, 40, 50 pounds. That makes Americans over weight. If you went in any gym in America, what would you find? Overweight people exercising, doing cardio, lifting weights and if you ask them, “Hey, are you fit, are you healthy? Do you watch what you eat? Do you exercise?” They will tell you, “Yes.” And you know what they will not be lying. But again, weight loss and weight gain is a delicate balance. It is going to be done consistently, over long period of time.
So, it is not the 200, 300, 400 extra calories a day that makes people fat. It is the 20 and 30 calories a day, that makes people fat. And who is watching levels? Love your body. I will see you next time.
