Mobi Technologies MobiCam AV Review
Tiffany: Hi there and welcome to Neo-Fight.tv, the technology show for the not so geeky. My name is Tiffany Young.
Ben: And I’m Ben Freedman and you know a few months ago, I must have to mention on the show that one point in time that my wife is pregnant and we are expecting our third deliver in a few weeks.
Tiffany: Congratulations.
Ben: And so we started getting people say oh, you have mentioned your wife is pregnant can you review this baby product, baby stuff? So, we’re going to have a few episodes over the next few weeks where we’re going to—
Tiffany: Review baby stuff.
Ben: Review some baby stuff.
Tiffany: Just something I know something about.
Ben: So baby tech and eventually this is baby tech but you could actually use this for more just baby stuffed.
Tiffany: Well you can use it for lot of different things.
Ben: You can this for different things so—
Tiffany: I think it’s a swimming pool.
Ben: These are a couple of products from a company called Mobi and today this first segment were doing this thing called the MobiCam and what this is, a portable. It runs of batteries or off power. A portable, how to spy on your baby. And I said five because you know when you’re baby is like a baby is not really a spying but I think it’s be great if you’re like a teenage kid and you just like hide it amongst the books in there shelf or something --
Tiffany: Or a nanny cam?
Ben: Or a nanny cam, that’s right. All you have to do is you know discreetly hide it. Basically, you got this guy which is the transmitter and it’s got like this LED lights for—
Tiffany: Just like the little R2D2?
Ben: It does.
Tiffany: Like Obi Wan Kenobi.
Ben: That was actually a person who said that so—and then you have this part which is the receiver to have this some a right channel here hold on a second. I will turn this on.
Tiffany: So you just have to make sure that the channels are match obviously?
Ben: You have to make sure that—
Tiffany: Which you will know right away if it’s not so you can find the screen.
Ben: Exactly.
Tiffany: Is what working right now.
Ben: Because it can put on more than one channel. So, I’m going to turn this out this way and so maybe I don’t know Jay if you can zoom in on that but—so here I am point the camera at a sleeping Tiffany. And then Jay see if you can zoom in on that and see—say something Tiff.
Tiffany: Obi Wan Kenobi.
Ben: Help me Obi-Wan he’s my only hope.
Tiffany: I’m hungry, somebody feed me.
Ben: So there you go and now it s my turn to speak I do it like this an like Hi1 I’m going to start crying now because I wet my diaper and you need to come in and give a bath.
Tiffany: Right now.
Ben: All right so what do you think Tiff?
Tiffany: Well, these are cam a little waste since that I would to demonstrate about four years ago n the resolution then was just awful. I mean you couldn’t tell you know what you’re looking at. Anyway, if you want to just like it said it was awful.
Ben: So what do you think it is?
Tiffany: This one has low light to just really awful.
Ben: We’ll put the LED's on here that illuminate the infrared.
Tiffany: It’s a very inexpensive under $100.00 for these products.
Ben: Yeah, 95 buck.
Tiffany: The resolution just could enough, I mean it’s not fantastic but it’s good enough.
Ben: Yeah and if you want, if you’re moving around you can put batteries in here. It has a battery compartment.
Tiffany: Lots of batteries in there mind you.
Ben: What is six batteries?
Tiffany: Six and four.
Ben: And four.
Tiffany: So ten.
Ben: You’ve done your research, wow. And then you can clip this, got a belt loop to clip it here to your belt. Or you can put batteries in both of them right because—
Tiffany: Because you have to carry one more thing with a new infant between the wife, the diapers—
Ben: You’d go for a romantic weekend to the Hyatt wit your new born baby is take this up in the room and then you had down to your wife in a bar and be sitting there and watching your baby upstairs.
Tiffany: Well, I know if the bars within range its close enough because I specifically thought about that before. Okay how close can the room be to the bar?
Ben: My rooms not be close to the bar so that we can go down stairs and have drink and still be in range or I’ll be wondering.
Tiffany: Yeah, well remember then that’s how I did.
Ben: That’s not bad in parenting right. That’s perfectly normal.
Tiffany: It’s always that you feel real confidence that that’s working. I mean how it could be bad handing unless nobody can get in.
Ben: So I like this the Mender also has an AVL so if you want to hook up your TV to see your baby in 52-inch glory you can.
Tiffany: Which is nice too say that you get the full screen and it’s a great product, I mean for under $100.00 I can cannot complain about that and how much this peace of mind cost, you know what I mean.
Ben: How much can you pay for piece of mind?
Tiffany: How much can you pay for piece of mind? It’s your baby you’re talking about.
Ben: It’s your baby. It’s like their baby we don’t care anymore. We can make more.
Tiffany: Go check in your sister, your sister’s hungry.
Ben: That’s right. She started crying a few hours back. See what I put there I close the door.
Tiffany: Oh gosh that’s horrible.
Ben: So you give this a?
Tiffany: A five out of five.
Ben: A five out of five for me. It’s a good product. We did a little arrange just across my house, it work pretty good. Little appearance from you know one end to the other but—
Tiffany: Just because your house is like—
Ben: That house is like techno central.
Tiffany: I was just started telling Ben that he has an outlet left in the house. I don’t even know where else you could possibly plug in.
Ben: So that’s five out of five for Tiffany, five out of five for me. Ten out of ten for the MobiCam AV, baby monitor, a great device, portable, good peace of mind and works pretty well you know.
Tiffany: You try guys.
Ben: And we’ll be right back with another wonderful baby product after this so please stay tuned.
And were back in the second spotlight today, we’re going to be looking at this little guy, which is the Mobi again from Mobi Ultra Digital Thermometer. It’s not just a digital thermometer.
Tiffany: And you already say that.
Ben: It’s the Ultra Digital Thermometer.
Tiffany: I knew that was coming, I knew it.
Ben: It’s Ultra—Ultra Digital.
Tiffany: Well they always, you know the older generation model it would be a sweep across for the baby. Now—
Ben: I can't believe you’re going there.
Tiffany: What?
Ben: Just because you got there wrong so you now Tiffany thought you had to sweep across with the thing.
Tiffany: Because that was the way we did it so this Ultra New Thermometer, you don’t have to sweep them and that makes what makes it Ultra.
Ben: You know I think makes it ultra is the flashlight.
Tiffany: Oh yeah.
Ben: That’s right.
Tiffany: Which is really cool, checking for our dilution and—
Ben: So here is the thermometer and if you turn on it—if you have to be checking the temperature in the dark just press this button and see a little flashlight going on.
Tiffany: That turns on the light?
Ben: And I can shoot will—I don’t know if you can see that.
Tiffany: That’s bright.
Ben: Is it bright?
Tiffany: Yes, six spots. It’s a great flashlight by the way.
Ben: Do you mind if I take your temperature?
Tiffany: No.
Ben: Okay turn around and bend over, just kidding.
Tiffany: That was horrible.
Ben: This actually, you take the temperature on the forehead or in the ear and what’s cool about is it speaks to you. So may I?
Tiffany: Yeah.
Ben: So it says you suppose to put this on the forehead like this.
Tiffany: I should tell you where to put that after that last little comment.
Ben: And first of all and then hold on.
Tiffany: And we all know, least most of us know.
Ben: Oh your cool factor 97.7
Tiffany: So, you thermally measure about a degree or two off from an internal temperature say under the tongue.
Ben: This not go there.
Tiffany: Yeah.
Ben: I mean to me.
Tiffany: So whatever the temperature are you—
Ben: 96.2 I’m cool. Actually, I think I’m like a legally dead at that point I don’t know. Anyway if you want that’s put it in the forehead and it has nice big LCD and it speaks you, which is really nice. Also you can pull this off like so and now you can do an ear reading. May I?
Tiffany: Which is much more effective Ben, accurate.
Ben: Accurate with that?
Tiffany: It’s good.
Ben: Okay.
Tiffany: Have a lot of beeping here.
Ben: 98 degrees. Now work this off here.
Tiffany: We’re going in the wrong way?
Ben: 98 degrees that’s closer. It supposed to be 98.6 rights? So, I’m going to do the same—it’s like Tiffany okay hold on here we go. Why there’s a lot of beep?
Tiffany: So a degree, really.
Ben: Or not maybe I’m just 98.2.
Tiffany: No.
Ben: Yeah people and 98.6 is were you supposed to be but it’s not like precise to the tank of it you know.
Tiffany: It’s pretty darn close though either like 95, 97.
Ben: But it’s warm in here we have lights. And you know our bodies are regulating our temperature.
Tiffany: Anyway the most accurate, the biggest problem as a mom that I’ve had with this is that I can't trust the digital read out it makes me nervous because there’s a huge difference between a 100 and 102.
Ben: Well there’s different too.
Tiffany: Well it’s a huge difference when it comes to a baby and may that’s a big you know—just like going to the hospital versus staying home to get to try to tell it all.
Ben: You what my mom did when got our temperature?
Tiffany: Yeah well.
Ben: And she feels fine. You’re fine, that’s what my mom did.
Tiffany: You just put the baby industry out of the business.
Ben: Back in there was the Ultra Digital hand. That’s what all there was. The Ultra Digital Hand and includes four double as and go like this and it doesn’t be. So it talks to you.
Tiffany: So this is a cool gadget—
Ben: All the way, oh this is going to be fine. Just going to find what Tiffany without having suspense—I can't believe you could even conceived a child.
Tiffany: You know the thing to do that right?
Ben: There you go, you got it.
Tiffany: What a cool stands.
Ben: The Mobi Ultra Digital thermometer because it’s all about—25 bucks.
Tiffany: The digital reading changes depend on how you’re holding.
Ben: Yes, you’re holding upside down and turn really up its really cool.
Tiffany: I can so done.
Ben: That’s all the time we have, what do you give that? I give it a five out of five, I think it’s awesome.
Tiffany: Okay. No I think it’s not something that completely be comfortable with especially with the baby temperature, three out of five.
Ben: Three out of five for Tiffany, five out of five for me. Eight out of ten, I’m on fire apparently. Eight out of 10 for the Mobi Ultra Digital thermometer and let us know what you think. Go to our website www.neo-fight.tv send us a comment.
Tiffany: Right.
Ben: Where do you like having your temperature taken, in the bathroom, in the living room?
Tiffany: This is the part for actually out of dinner. I like to take a bathroom break right and then come back until like your through that moment. You know what I mean like that moment, yeah like go to outside of the backyard, so anyway, good product not completely accurate in my opinion.
Ben: And if you have an extra 30 seconds take a look at this.
