Big Think is a global forum connecting people and ideas. It may be a cliché to say that knowledge is power, but that doesn’t make the statement any less true. We know that there are just 24 hours in a day, that you are bombarded with information, and that the bombardment will only escalate. We believe that not all information is equal. We believe that expertise is invaluable and should be shared. If you had a heart problem and could afford the counsel of the world’s leading cardiologists, you would seek their advice. If you owned a business and wanted to expand into China or Russia, you’d want to hear from people who had already done that. At Big Think, we put you in contact with the ideas of very smart people. We do not believe that experts have all the answers. On many subjects deep thinkers disagree. We do believe that we will all make better decisions in our personal and professional lives if our thinking is informed by expert opinion.

The same could be said of psycho animal activist...and the suffering of human children living in poverty and abusive and or neglective circumstances... If you addressed the human suffering of children, which has a direct effect on the civility of your society, then there would be no need to address the suffering of animals, because people would grow up indifferent and desensitized to general suffering. What comes around goes around...and people are what they know and experience...remove the inhumanity toward children in our society...and every life will be treated with dignity. You cannot continue to support the dehumanization of life, such as with abortion "rights," claiming the dehumanization of a defenseless human life is a political, social and moral right, and expect other forms of helpless and self defenseless life to receive the general respect it deserves as well. Everything is connected, and you can't ignore the truth, because of or for the sake of ideological h

cool videos....I partly agree with Moby but I think also there's another side...like if you've never seen animal suffering and you're against it...does that make your opinion less reliable too? means that as a human being you can't relate things to have solid opinions...?
