Hi! My name is Jennifer Ohlsson. I am your Ford Model and today I am going to show you a few poses. My friends that are not models, they always ask me what you do to look good in a shot. And there are few tricks that you can help your body to look skinnier and just enhance what you like.
So basic model pose number one, you turn your hips away from the camera, your shoulders to the camera. So that would create your hips looking--and your butt looking much skinnier because you are not showing the big wide part, you are just showing this side. Plus you get a nice curve here. And then, your shoulder will be straight on to the camera. You can either put your arm up. You can put both arms up.
Feet pose number two, a very more like traditional pose back foot back, front a little bit like this and then you can put your arm up on your hip and voilà. Also for the face, half profile is very flattering to most people because when you are dead-on straight, it can be really hard. But I mean if you put like just a little bit to a side, you will look a bit softer.
All right, a few “don’ts” that you see a lot with people like kind of want to be model or even model that my “don’ts”; I think things that look too unnatural does not look good in the picture. Stuff like this, I like stuff like this, is just not real. Also, in our world is this famous position called the peanut which I do not really do this unless I am--even if I am eating peanuts I am not doing that, yes; so that looks a bit of silly I think.
With your arms, you can bring them out. Also if your bring them--want to bring them up to do something like that, you can easily do it like it looks like you have neck pain. So, you want to kind of just relax to the side and just happy.
If you want to smile, think about something happy in your head. That is what I do when I shoot. I always think about a funny memory or a joke so it does not look fake and then just pose off.
