Hey, I’m Tara Stiles, I am a Ford Model and today I am going to show you guys yoga for the morning. There is a little routine I came up with, that you can do in the morning to kind of wake yourself up a little bit, you know, before your get out of bed. I like to do a little bit of yoga before I get out of bed, just so I do not start thinking about all the things that you have today, all these things. So this is something to make waking up a little less traumatic. So, if this is your bed, this is my bed for today. If you sleep on your side, or on your stomach or however you sleep, just try to come to your back like this and it is also fun to try this sort of routine with your eyes closed and just to get your body going without looking around at everything. So just come to your back and then you are just going to stretch all the way up here. You can just bring a foot over and stretch all the way to the side and you really stretch out using your whole bed and then searching your opposite arm up and then come all the way back. This is a really good spinal stretch in the morning, it is a really expansive movement and it feels really great on your spine. And then after that, you can just bring your knee into your chest like this and then with your hands, you can just gently move around your knee in your hip socket. And it is just like slowly waking up your hip joints in the morning. And then just switch sides. And this is nice, especially when it starts to get a little colder outside, everything kind of tightens up a little more and it is nice to give yourself a little TLC before you get out of bed. And then you can bring both knees in and then just give yourself a gentle tug here. And then, you can just come over to your side, like this is kind of sleep. So you come to your side here and try not to fall back asleep and then you can just gently push yourself on up and come to sit up. And if you have, if you are couch crouching and you have the back of the couch or if you have a headboard on your bed. It is really nice to kind of gently just lean against that. Or if you don’t that is fine too and just come to sit up really tall. Just gently close your eyes and just follow your breath in and out just for a few moments here. Okay, so after you have done that, just come to the side of your bed. And this is your feet on the ground for the first time of the day. So make sure that your feet are firmly planted on the ground and everything is in alignment. Your feet aren’t pointing in a funny direction and then you can just come over and hangover your torso over your legs like this. And then let your head go and you kind of shake it out a little bit and then just come all the way up. And then a nice one to do is stretching to the side and you get a nice side stretch. And because you are on your bed there is a lot of nice cushion there. Then come all the way up and then just stretch to the other side and then come all the way up and then a nice one to even it out is interlacing your hands. And press to your palms and stretch all the way up and then you can look up here and then just come up and by then you are ready to stand up and start your day. You should be pretty much in alignment such as standing on up and you can give yourself one last. Interlace your hands and stretch all the way up. And then come down and you should be ready to start your day. So thanks for watching my yoga for the morning and I hope you guys have great mornings.
