Doing what you want to do, not what these all tapes that were preprogrammed I into us from wherever and whoever want us to do. All the negative seeds that are anchors to our forward progress, you can take control over everything in your life. It's really is that simple.
So that wasn't just an idle suggestion to do that three times a day. Do it before or after each meal, whatever time works for you. I used to tell athletes and other clients, take one minute four times a day, that's four minutes. You usually have sixteen hours a day, that's one minute every four hours to do this. And I would come back and I would go, did you do that? And 98% said no, and guess why not. No time, no time to take one minute and bring yourself into a relaxed state and clear your mind? Man, if you don't have time to do that, you need to be doing it one minute every hour.
So what happens with the negative thoughts. And if you revered people -- what do we have over here, an eddy, the negative thoughts are a vortex, an eddy vortex of power. Those soccers have, are like weeds in our garden. This is our garden and I want my garden have pretty flowers, little Mary Sunshine over here. Not really, but I don't want weeds, I don't want negative thoughts, I don't want all that stuff that I don't need to have, that distracts me and drain energy and it keeps me from where I am going. And then they take over like weeds with the power of an eddy. And so when the negative force -- thoughts come in, this is what happens to us.
Anyone here ever been racing and fallen into that? Yeah. Absolutely. It happens all the time. But I actually - here is a great example. Wednesday I flew to California and back and in the same day I went to the funeral of the close friend of mine, a California highway patrolman one of my motorcycle buddies that have been all around the country with who is killed on his motor in the line of duty, and its been a little distracting for me and I went to the gym today to work out with my trainer. And that was the state I was in. I couldn't get out of it. I could not get out of it even with all the stuff that I do.
So there will be times when that vortex is going to take over. So I said see you later and I went into the steam room and I sat in the steam room, and guess what I did in the steam room? That's exactly what I did to bring myself back into some clarity, some focus, so that I could have a full compliment of my energy and its fruit today. I didn't have it in the early part of the day because I didn't nurture myself properly when I got up.
So there are times in real life experiences that will start to drain us. We still have to nurture ourselves to get out of this vortex.
Audience member: You just lost a close friend? What's wrong with (Inaudible)?
There is nothing wrong with that. And I didn't have to train so I could walk away from the training. It's a non event for me. I am in the gym or outside six seven days a week. If I miss a day, who cares? Is it okay that I was sad? Yes. But what became clear to me was that I wasn't present. I need to be present.
