Hey guys, E Mix 77 and have got a real quick motion tip for a guy. He emailed me about the last camera tutorial I have done and he wanted to know how I got the cloud over everything and in my part two, I want to cover this more in depth but I just wanted to show him so he can do this really quickly as he had a project to do.
I have got this abacus, a little counter here like you use in grade school and stuff. Actually, I do not really know what it is but the actual name for it is abacus. But he wants to let us say use the clouds as a background. If I take and as you can see, I have a camera added to the group and up here is my 3D transformer controls and as I scroll around, you can see it is 3D.
So he wants a cloud background so if I take these clouds and drop it on my group, look what happens, it is in 3D. It is right here, it is just like its own little plate. I can zoom out and I will show you. You see there the background right there and there is the abacus in front of it. He wants the clouds to envelope the whole stage. That is easy to do. All you have to do is go over here and this little emblem right here tells you it is in 3D and through the camera in the project, it is going to be in 3D and so what you need to do is find your background group and click this little emblem here and turn it into a 2D group. Boom, when you do that, you notice that the clouds fill the whole stage and you can zoom around no matter where you go and the clouds are there.
That is basically how you make your background cover your whole 3D sense. Stay tuned for part two of my camera tutorial. It is in the works. I hope this has helped you out, I really do. If you have any other questions, let me know, I will be glad to help you. This is E Mix 77 for Final Cut Studio School, I will see you next time.
