Hi, I am ______, profession mountain biker.
Today I want to share with you a few tips on how to recover after a long day on a bike.
Now, after my long day of training, I am going to use my last 10 minutes as recovery. What this means is you are putting your easy gear, spin, bring the heart rate down. It should be at a speed of a spinning where you can still talk and hold a conversation and what I am doing is I am spinning my legs out and letting the lactic acid release and making them looser so when I go on my ride tomorrow, I am not as sore and then you want to remember your nutrition. That is just as important.
You want to make sure that within 30 minutes after your hard day, you take in either a recovery drink. If you do not have a recovery drink, take a Jell-O, a bagel, anything that is like a breakfast food. Get the sugars back in. It will refill your stores and so when you want to go out and ride tomorrow you would not be in as much pain and you will have fun once again. So remember to recover, it is just as important as your training. Have fun.
