Crashing is an all important part of mountain biking. The most important thing in the crash is the tuck and roll. Keeping your arms and legs inside, moving over to your shoulder, using the back of your helmet, your shoulder and coming back to your feet. Putting your arm out can break your clavicle with very little pressure. That means you are off the bike for six weeks not six seconds.
