I have Transverse Mylenitis Spinal MS, I was Diagnoised March 5th 2010 i have had 1 steriod treatment in the beginning and i have refused anymore, i am on Avonex at the moment and i can not tell its working i have not had an MRI in a while, I feel i have a caring Doctor that is seeing about my needs but i stiff feel if you don't have this you don't understand the uncomfortable feelings i feel , Ihave these Hot Sensations that stop me in movement i have no idea what they are called but it is drivingme nuts i was was walking into Kroger our local grocery store and omg its started i was so upset i found my way back to my truck and went home. Does anyone knowwhat this feeling is its like my whole bottom area from my wais to my behind and my legs get this tazzered hot sensation ? Help Please

I take Copaxone®, or glatiramer acetate, which is a daily injection, and I believe it has helped. In nine years, my MS has not progressed, and that’s by physical exam, by MRIs. I have no new lesions. My brain has not atrophied at all, so I feel that’s helped. MS medications are difficult because you can take them religiously. It doesn’t help the symptoms you have; it just prevents the MS from getting worse. So you never really know if it’s working. You kind of go on faith, but the fact that I have done so well over the last nine years, I think is a testament to the medication.
