Strollers have changed a lot since we were kids. So, today I thought I would bring you some of the most recent developments in stroller technology. To do that, I have got these Mutsy strollers, an amazing piece of equipment and we are going to take it for a test drive.
The first thing you will notice about a Mutsy stroller is that it is a modular system. You can take him to sit out and you have a basic frame upon which to put tons of attachments. For instance once you have take him to sit out, you can actually reverse it and look at your child, he is strolling along the avenue or you can put in a car seat or you can even put in a bassinet.
Another great thing about this particular stroller and strollers in general is that they are beefier and sturdier now. There is aluminum tubing, it has got to be both light and really strong at the same time but tires are beefier and more cushioning for kids. And you will even notice the metal edge that I all have is really hard, a rubber on the outside. It is preventing it from wearing out and you could all throughout the kid’s life, all the way from bassinet up to when they go off to college.
Another thing that is great for dad is like me because I am pretty tall and I am so used to using strollers that I have to lean over, hunch down when I push them. Well, this one has a handle that actually pulls out and it quickly adjust with just one hand. Well, even the attachments have attachments. You can take off the front bar for the child. Kids can get pretty bored when they are riding on a stroller while Mutsy’s thought of that. They have an attachment that allows the kid to feel like he or she is steering the stroller.
Another great piece of equipment is the step-up. You actually hooked it on to the back of the stroller. It allows an older kid to step up onto it and then you could push a younger kid along in the stroller. Both kids are on the same place. Let us say you are in a crowded mall or airport and you rely want to keep tracking your kids or maybe your kid is tired and he or she cannot walk anymore but at least stand on the back of the stroller. It is one of the best inventions I have seen in a long time.
The Mutsy stroller has rear wheel steering? It is really unique and that once you have unlocked the rear wheels so that they do not go straight. You could see that as I push it around, I am able to be really précising where I park it or how I might maneuver it in a really tight environment.
One of my biggest pip peeves about strollers are the inadequate rain and/or sun protection. No problem with Mutsy, they got this great rain cover. And you will see here that the sun cover, that is a super job as well. Sometimes they will hang their bags on the back of the stroller but that gets really dangerous because the stroller can tip over.
Well, folks at Mutsy, have actually designed attachments that are for carrying groceries or carrying something you have bought at the mall. The Mutsy passes the collapsibility test and that is a three-part test; Number one, it collapses easily; Number two, it collapses quickly; and number three, it has a small footprint once it is collapsed. And this is important if you put in your car or if you are storing at home. Notice how the Mutsy stores both horizontally and vertically.
