MySpace Marketing Tip #2
Interacting With Potential Clients
Hello, it's Kerry Hancock again from House of Hancock; we are a full service creative advertising agency that specializes in MySpace Marketing. Previously, I gave you a tip on how important it is to have a customized based page; a page that actually leaves a lasting impression and gives somebody a reason to come back and separate yourself from the competition. Now I am going to give you the next tip and give you some advice on the actual MySpace Marketing in itself.
With the MySpace marketing for business, the key factors here are, just remember, you are actually able to build your friends by their age, by their location, by their sex, by their interest, all the way down to a ZIP code. In building your MySpace Marketing, that's the first thing you are going to do, you are going to focus on adding some friends in your targeted area by interest, age, ZIP code, what have you.
It's not about having the most friends now, but you do want to get yourself some friends; at least 500-1,000 to start off with if you are a new business coming on MySpace. After you have developed some friends, the next step you are going to take is the actual marketing part of it, and that's when you actually begin to interact with these people.
You are going to interact with these people by sending them comments and messages on a daily basis. You are going to send them personal comments and messages about their pages, about them, things that they like. It's like what we said before; you will make more friends in three months by becoming interested in other people than you will in three years by trying to get people interested in you. So MySpace is one of the biggest advertising platforms online that allows you to actually do that.
You can put an ad on TV, on the radio, in a magazine, and all you are displaying is your actual ad. It does not allow you to send a personal message to the person that looked at your ad or your page. This is what MySpace is about. So what you are going to do is you are going to build your friends, and then after that you are going to send comments and messages on a daily basis.
Doing this on a daily basis, they start to remember you and know who you are. So for example, let's say you are a dentist, if you were to send, even if it's to say Happy Birthday, Have a great day, some simple messages, although we do recommend you get more serious about it, but doing things just that simple. Eventually, if a person in your area needs a dentist, the chances are, if they don't have an existing dentist that they have to go to, they are going to come to you. I can guarantee you there is not another dentist that they know that's actually sending them personal messages. They might get something in the mail or hear something on the radio, that's just blitz advertising campaign that everybody hears, but for them to get something personal from you, develops that relationship, and that's what it's about.
So as MySpace Marketing experts what we do for our business clients is we handle all your friend requests, we handle your comments, we handle your messages. We can even write, and you are allowed to have a blog, which is an article that you can post on your MySpace page. Something that's relevant to your industry, that allows people to read it; it mighty be info marketing, where you are giving them good information about your business in special, what have you, that they can reply on.
Another important factor is the pictures. You are able to put up pictures about yourself, about your company. People love, pictures are worth a thousand words.
So with all that said, just understand, you have got to have a customized based page that stands out above the competition. Number two, you have got to market it aggressively. You have got to interact with these people and actually develop a relationship. We recommend having someone spend at least eight hours per day, every single day, marketing your MySpace page, and the results will speak for themselves. You will see results that are far greater than TV, radio, billboards, combined. That's my tip for today. Thank you.
