This is a chromatic scale played in octaves. The last notes played are octaves in the tonic, or root of the scale. The first note is octaves 1 semitone higher. When you get to the top, the first note is what you would expect tonally from a chromatic scale. You hear the top note, but still register the bottom one. In other words, your brain hears what it expects.

its got 2 sets of notes playing. one is the first, lower one that u hear and the other set is higher, continuing from where the first one let off. when u go to listen to it for the second time, u r expecting to hear it continue rising so u hear that instead of what u heard the first time but if u listen closely, u can tell that they're both there.

It's a flash... It is programmed so when you press play again in about XX seconds you will hear it rise. Dont belive, me, open another tab and just swich it instead of pressing play in the same window....
