Hey guys, it’s Ren from Make Up by Ren Ren and today I’ll be showing you my collectable from the last couple of months of Nars. So if you’re interested stay tune for more.
Okay guys, so lately I’ve been on a Nars kit. I first started purchasing Nars in November of ’08. First with these the For Friends & Family Hall and I’ve always loved Nars but I just wasn’t, I couldn’t afford it. So lately, I’ve been purchasing it slowly so over the last three months, I’ve gotten a bunch of goodies that I want to show you. And let’s go ahead and start. First off I got some lip glosses, this is actually from, I got from Nars Hong Kong from a holiday set and they’re duos. There are glosses on each side, so whenever I see a duo, I pick them up because the lip gloss on it’s own is light 24, 25 bucks and this is a much better deal, this is like about, I think this is like $50.00 for six. So imagine if you got six glosses at a regular for $25 each. This is a way better deal and you get six colors, so that ends up being like, less than $10 each. So that’s really good. So anyway, I’m going to show you the colors really quick, let’s go ahead and get started. I have first Giza, which is a Apricot colored, like a peachy color, really through the spray in it. They only have more of the metallic clear called Boogie Nights. Really pretty plumy wine color, that’ll be great for like a party at night. And we have Harlow which is like a frosty, creamy color, I don’t really like this one on me, it makes me kind of look dead. But I’m sure you can make it work if you just use the right lipstick or lip liner. Then I have here, this one’s called Rose Vermin, I think, it’s so hard to read the title, this one’s like a deep warm color, more match. Looks like they are colors are really pretty because they give really wet look lip gloss and the last one is called, I skipped one.
Okay this one’s comes with the Harlow lip gloss, this one’s called Sweet Dreams, like a frosty pink color. It comes, kind of sheer on my hand with that’s it right there and now the color is my favorite, it’s actually Chihuahua and it’s like a rosy pink color, which looks really nice. I’ve tried this already, it looks really good for new lips when get a smoky eye look. So when you ever use a deals like this, like the holiday’s set from Nars, it’s a perfect time to get more colors for cheaper and that’s all I’m all about that because Nars is kind of pricey. So moving on, at Nars.com, I also purchased Luster blush. A make up artist a Blue Mark Berry spa suggested this to me when I was browsing through. I’ve tried it, it really goods on all skin tones. –because I got it before I read about at Make Up Alley, a lot of NC30’s and under where the ones who are rating it. I’m not into it, a lot of people love that and I’m NC42 so I say it look really natural on them so it’s kind of nervous that it wouldn’t show up on me and this doesn’t really look like a blush on me, it looks more like a warmth kind of thing. But I was kind of glad because I don’t always want to be putting blush on and worrying about how pigmented it is, but this, I can’t mess up because it just looks like a nice warm glow, a little bit of a peachy color and has that gold flex in it.
So, I wear it to work, that’s it, I’ll just wear the blush and no other make up and it makes my face looks fresh. But if you’re darker than me, it probably won’t show up at all, unless you want to use as like a high lighter. So just an FYI, I’m glad I got it though because you can’t have always super pigmented, crazy color blushes you know. I don’t know if it always comes at the same time, I got both of these because I want to qualify for a free eye shadow deal that they’re giving away and also free shipping. So the color that I got from them was Belly Dance and this is a really pretty color. It actually looks like the exact same colors I use for my Mac Holiday Smoky eyes like the red and green smoky eyes look. See that right there, that look just like the colors I use. And it’s like an emerald frosty green and a flat Mac Burgundy and I just love the color of Burgundy on eye shadow. I just think it’s really pretty, so that’s what they look like, really pigmented, one swipe with my fingers, bam, really great. I love this, love it. I got to go quick because I got a lot of items. So next I picked, this is something you guys have seen already, my Albatross love it, joy duo, I got from a Friends & Family sale. Great highlighter, I love that, Albatross I’m using. At the For Friends & Family Hall, I got the Holiday Eye shadow palette and I wished I didn’t do it like I said I was going to and I got instead the Casino Sin Duo. Again anything with the duo is my friend because you get two for a cheaper price. So it comes, it’s really big, conflip Casino Blush which I got because I think the La Poeny is lighter and more tan so I figure out in a darker one. And then this really, really pretty color Sin which is more of a rosy mavy tone, again with that kind of gold, like a little gold sheen to it.

So I had that coming up as well as a Lanchrome Cosmetics Tutorial, bright purple and blue and pretty colors because I know that’s a new hot kind of middle make up light out there. FYI, Casino does not work as a contour color for your nose because I tried it and it just looks way to rabid and dirty looking on as a contour color. Stick with is as a brown color as the contour color for your cheeks. In terms of Sin, this is a really pretty color, a lot of people love it, it’s a great color for the day, you can build it for the night. It’s like a rosy color, it’s really pretty, very natural. Okay, so the next color I got it strictly because I saw it on Lulud’s poll video and she picked up Taos so I just thought it was pretty on her. This is like a crushed, like cranberry, raspberry kind of color. Like more of a, more on the pink, so pretty, oh my god, like, it looks like unscented warm thing glowing like color to your cheeks. So far this is my favorite Nars blush I have so far, I use it on myself. Use it with a light hand, you can use this, a stippling brush with it, 187 or 188. Just apply it really lightly, I also use it at my friend who’s NW45, a lot darker than me and it still looks good. So this is a great blush to have. Then I also picked up, I think I got this at the same time, this one’s Exhibit A, this is infamous Exhibit A, like a reddish, orangey kind of color. I love it, it’s so pretty. Did you see that? Super pigmented, bam, this will look awesome under a skin tone with my color as an instant pigment for warmth of the skin. It doesn’t look as clear on them, it looks amazing. It kind of reminds me of double blush, but may be a little, but definitely more redder. So if you’re darker, definitely pick this up, like amazing, it’ll look amazing on you. Scandalous Beauty did a review on it, Chia has a video that she uses on and looks beautiful. So I got it for my kit, because make up tone color is mainly women of color. And lastly, these are presents I got for Christmas for my bessy Alex, and she went to Nars and lots of oranges as first suggested and she picked the Super Orgasm, which is the Orgasm with a lot of chunky glitter. I’m very glad in Orgasm because I heard it doesn’t really show up tanner skin tones. That for her the cheap thorough was a better alternative. I was really surprised because it really didn’t actually show up on me. It’s really nice pretty natural, pinky like peachy cheek cloak. It does have that chunky gold glitter thing that people have been talking about. But the best way to solve that problem is, if you take your brush, I know this one’s kind of dirty but, you take it, and just tap it and the gold glitter just falls of your brush. So if you don’t want the gold glitter in cheap, tap it and I can just see them falling off. Then it’s a really pretty natural, like pinky color, really pretty so I’m glad she got this for clip tie, I wouldn’t have it gotten it on my own. Shake off that gold glitter though, it’s like a lot of rough flakes kind of, kind of with this. And last, my bessy also got me Silent Night eye shadow, which is from the Holiday Collection and it’s probably the most real gold eye shadow I have. I want to swatch it for you, the weird thing about this is that, I kind of has fall off and they’re like gold flakes, which is kind of annoying. Well I don’t know if that’s suppose to be a glitter or something that’s right here, and I doesn’t look like it’s going to be like that but it is so, I just kind of brush it off unless you want the gold glitter chunks on it. So I’m not sure about this one yet but I’m going to try it, I’ll let you all know. So that’s my collective Nars Hall, next on my list, I’m definitely going to pick up Turkish Delight Lip gloss, because I’ve been wanting it for so long.
