Nail Pop Repair

In this video we are going to talk about how to repair nail pops. Nail pops occur due to suppling of the house and can be repaired with a few small steps. All you need to fix nail pops is a few small tools. The first one is the five-in-one or scraper tool. The five-in-one you use to scrape the dry wall in order to expose what you will actually be working on. The second one is the needle nose pliers, because as sometimes you want to pull the nail out because the nail can cause you problems later on. You want to get rid of the nail altogether. The third tool we have here is a Philips head screwdriver. Sometimes, this tool has dual roles, the first role, is you can actually use the tip of it because some nail pops are not nails, they are actually screws so what you want to do is you want to screw the nail pop. You want to expose it with your five-in-one. And when you see that this is a screw, you take your screwdriver and you just twist it in and then at that point you can start spackling. The second duo to this actual tool that you have here is the butt of it. After you have exposed it with the five-in-one, you have pulled it out with the needle nose, you can take the screwdriver here and you can dent the edges of it. You want to dent it to make it as smooth as possible. At times you may need a utility knife. Utility knife is good, because if you have loose dry wall paper, the paper you want to get rid of it, because it could cause you problems and you don’t want your repair bubbling on you. (demo) For this project also, we are going to use, 20 – which you can get at any hardware store. The other thing that we are going to use is called a sanding rock, which you can get in any hardware store. We want to sand our repair as smooth as possible before we paint. And at this point you successfully prepare the nail pop.
