Jason: Hello, everybody and welcome to our show and this is maybe our third podcast that we’re doing so far. Today we’re going to be doing a podcast about the new webcam max version. Now, before we start we do have a special guest and that is he is right here. His name is Champagne and he is our special guest and along with our CEOO Akafurios. He’s using here CB14. CB14 couldn’t make it right now so we decided to exclude him. He’ll be in the other of our episodes and stuff of course.
So today we’re going to be talking about the New Webcam Max version and that was a released version 4.1.1 I believe and we just thought we’d like to let you know about our experiences with it. So without further ado, Champagne our special guest would you like to take it away.
Champagne: First is pro. I’d like to talk about this that a user interface for the new Webcam Max. It’s a user friendly next icon. It’s simple to use. The old one it’s a just like a big break of program.
Jason: Yes, we do have some pros and cons here so we don’t leave you hanging. One pro is got a new gooey. It’s customizable like you can choose different things which are actually quite good because the version I’m currently using right now is C.5 and it’s got that bluish look.
Champagne: Stable for me.
Jason: Well yes, it’s stable and apparently that is a big con that Champagne if you have said it is unstable for some pro zone. The second pro will be that picture and picture for second webcam if you’d like to put a second webcam in. Apparently and it’s got a lot newer effects and things like that which is good.
A third thing I have here is the ability to drive connection highlight. You know if you’re playing that football game it comes to that, that point and it happens and they have to kind of rewind and they have like the persons trying with a little marker and stuff. You have that ability too so it’s pretty neat.
It’s in a newer version and of course with new version you’re going to have bugs unfortunately. It always happens. I have to say the version that I’m stuck with this 3.5 right now because one of the cons that I think it has. Now it’s still a good program I’m not saying any bad about it. One of the cons is the fact that you can’t do multiple screen captures. You cannot use a picture and picture to capture your second webcam or screenshot. You can’t do multiple screenshots in a way.
This is set up with our system here is I have Akafurios. He’s on my top screen there. He’s captured in a window which you can see in my corner here, hit my fingering right here and we have down here Champagne. This is also a screenshot so we can do about the screenshots and do lots of things.
So that’s the kind that I think it’s kind of a problem. I’m sure it will look better. I don’t know why and they took that feature out. Champagne what do you think? Why did they do that? Why did they take the multiple screen capture that they really have?
Champagne: Well, I’m not sure if I never played with it yet. Are you sure you guys it’s not there, or did you guys just not see it. I don’t know why they would take it out and like having a little like super valid reason.
Akafurios: Maybe it could have made the program unstable. It could have made the program unstable. That could be one point.
Jason: CB could let us know like pisses the eye you can’t do that and apparently you can do your captures for the things to me and I can email them and let them know about it, about some things that are different and everything but in over I think webcam access probably one of the best versions for a PC out there besides that being the best back version to do all the scan twist which I never hear enough of because so many people say it’s good and you presently—
Champagne: Great! I can't twist this. It’s supposedly the best thing in the computers right now.
Jason: Yeah, but unfortunately it’s only available for Mac and that’s how get. I mean webcam actually is great. I think they need to kind of upgrade a bit because some people were talking about RSS feeds. I’ve been able to have the RSS feeds and much like.
Champagne: It will always be available for Mac or UNIX and I'm a Linux fan addict.
Jason: But I think Webcam Max can actually break that period. Furios here, he is quite a Linux guy. I mean. So, on that note we just like to say you know if you’re someone that’s into customizing and likes the whole color, feature thing by all means give it a try.
Champagne: You can use this program.
Jason: Yes, very much so. I mean I give them kudos. Kudos get lower because of its functionality and stuff probably about primarily the desktop caption and stuff and I use the other version and I like Webcam Max and the new version maybe better for you to fear not person who likes to do multiple screen captures. It may have the second webcam to have that on and you know you want to join and screen and stuff and Yahoo or whatever program, UStream or whatever just to wow your friends.
Webcam Max, you can get a trial version. You do have to pay for it. There is a free program that’s similar to it and not as much as called Manycan. It’s got a few effects it’s kind of neat to use. That’s the free version.
