New York Times iPhone App Review

Opening up the New York Times app provides you with the latest news from today’s paper. Each of these listings brings you when you tap on them, to a full page read out with the picture from the article in an easy to browse format. It does take a little while to load especially on edge, 3G is slightly faster and WiFi of course even faster than that , but once it does load there’s no additional loading.

You’ll notice that there is advertising in down bottom just like in a regular newspaper so there’s nothing new there. But what’s actually really interesting about this is that you can select exactly what part of the paper you want to read. Not only that you can edit your toolbar and drag and drop what’s specifically interest you in today’s paper. Once you do that you can click any of those icons, load up exactly what part of the paper you want to read, pick the article and then from there you’re good to go.

It doesn’t allow you to search all the newspapers because that is something that you can do on their website and you’re not really need and research from your iPhone anyway. So we give this application 4.6 out of five stars.
