Hey, what’s up guys! I just picked up the new iPod Touch. This is the second generation of the media iPod touch and I decided the 16 GB version which is $299.00. I just picked it up because they are actually in the stores. I got them in about three hours before I got there. But anyway today, I’m going to be doing unboxing or I don’t know--whatever this is--I guess that’s sort of a box. But I want to do unboxing and check it all what is inside the package. Now, I’m going to do a quick little run through about what’s the new features are for the new iPod Touch. So let’s get started.
Oh, was that a piece of plastic on the bottom I guess. I’m not going to get that even if I used a lever I guess that kind of work things like that. This is of course the plastic covering that it got over the shield. Take that off and it comes out with pretty much ease. Then on the old iPod model they had like squeeze to the side. Here’s one to go, where I’m going to put the extra iPod aside for a minute. What are we looking at is the box, just the box we got for the iPod Touch send by Apple. I can open it up. Let us see what we got.
Actually I just even just take out and make everything a lot sometimes easier. Yeah, this will shit me out. Okay, so here’s the box and the plastic case. We will move this aside. Right now what we have is the manual, let’s see. So we got documentation, quick start of the iPod Touch and then we got the headphones, the classic headphones for the iPod models. The new headphones are supposed to come out of the studio. It is pretty cool actually. Take a look in those and then this is the 30-pin USB adapter transfer cable. Move that aside and then this is the dock extender or whatever it’s called docking station of an iPod.
You can see how it is sort of more rounded right here. It’s not going to fit it in there but I’ll show you in a couple minutes that the new iPod Touch is a little more rounded on the back than the previous model was and what do we have here? Oh, this is the polish cloth that is like a fiber cloth. I'm not going to open it but if you can see it it’s just wrapped up in a piece of plastic right now. That is for cleaning for the screen. And then here’s just the box it is almost came in, not much to it. Move that aside.
Now, let’s actually get to the iPod itself. Okay, and we’re going to once again just move this back just a little over sticky side that’s coming down and then to get this out. Here’s the instruction I guess if you’re stupid like me .Oh, the sticky thing, I want to take it off and pull it off though. See, even this band that I guess that works pretty much perfect. So just bend it a little bit and sure ease out like that. Here’s the case, plastic covering. I’m going to move that aside now.
So now we got is the new 16 GB iPod Touch that was released on September 9, pretty much the same as the original iPod Touch and like the original iPhone actually. This one’s a bit different from the older iPod Touch version. I’d never actually previously owned an iPod touch. I had a Nano. But, apparently what’s different about this one is this one has the volume toggles switch on the left side which I guess I didn’t have that before.
On the top, it looks like, I’m going to guess a hole, switch or something but that’s word. Maybe I don’t know, a 30-pin connector, the headphone jack. Here, I know that this one has a built-in speaker also. The old one didn’t have an actual speaker system. The old one just had the headphone jack. This one has a built-in speaker for casual listening apparently and then we can turn this over and now it looks good, nice and shining iPod 16 GB.
Yeah, let’s see if you could see this though. It’s got a little bit more of a curve backing. I’m not sure if you can see that. I’m trying to go that slower but it’s a lot of smoother. It’s not as agile as the previous models were so that really looks good.
Let’s try and sort this thing up. Maybe, how do I start this video? Hoping I want to plug it in. Here we go! Here’s my Apple logo. Booting up for the first time and actually I just went to the Apple store about two hours ago and I called them previously to see if they got the model in. I got to plug it in. But I finish my quick story here if we go far to go plug it in.
So I went to the Apple store. I called them before I had to go in and I asked them if they got the new iPods in yet because I called them the previous day and this is they were going to get undone next day. So I asked them and they said we got the new 16 GB and they said they get take a hold one for me and of course they couldn’t hold it but I thought I could try and so I got into the store. About 15 minutes later, I drove over there and I went to go purchase my iPod and I found that I was actually the first costumer in the State of Ohio to buy one of the new iPod Touches from Apple.
The reason that they couldn’t tell me how many they were I guess was because they we’re literally just unloading them off the truck and the lady had no clue how many they were going to get. I mean I got to the store and they weren’t out on the shelves as models as to had the previous iPod models that was just not really the smartest marketing idea I guess but they literally did get the main minutes ago before I bought it.
So yeah, I was the first person to buy the iPod Touch in the State of Ohio. Kind of cool! I was the first one in here. It’s ironic though because for the iPhone, there’s people waiting in line for days and I walk in the Apple store and bought this in about, probably five minute process. So, I don’t know what that means and that kind of big head obviously. Anyway, alright, so I’m going to turn the camera off because it looks like they want me to plug this baby on the computer and I’ll be back in a minute.
