Nexus One Google Phone Unboxing
Hi, this is Andrew Moore-Crispin with your 10 part tutorial series from butterscotch.com on the Nexus One, also known as the Google Phone.
Today we’re going to start off with an un-boxing. So here’s the box that you’ll get when you purchase your Google phone. You can get it for about $530. We’ll put a link to actually go and buy the thing in the show notes on butterscotch.com.
So as you can see here, we see the fans that we have already running in the studio. The first thing you’re presented with is the phone itself. You can also get it engraved. It’s going to be a little difficult. You can also get the thing engraved which we’ll try and show you in a second right on the website. So, we chose to get this one engraved with butterscotch.com.
So we’ll put the phone over to the side here. And we’ll pull everything and show you everything that comes in the box. And see here, we pull this part out. Now we see that we get a case with the phone. It’s got a cute little android on it there. We also have the warranty statement as well as the quick start guide.
Now the battery doesn’t come installed in the phone. Not the best user experience. Anyone who buys this phone will probably want to just going to turn it on and get started right away. But you do have to actually insert the battery and give it a full charge first. All that stuff is covered off here in this important document package.
So pull out the other part. Now we did kind of cheat. We couldn’t resist playing with the phone before we actually did this un-boxing here. You see here we got a micro USB wall charger. This is the battery for the phone. We’ll install that in the next segment when we actually get into the software that runs the phone.
So we see here we have a stereo headset with an inline microphone. This is the Micro B charging case. Now it actually feels like all this packaging is the biodegradable compostable kind which is an interesting touch. The last thing we pull out here is a pair of foam inserts for the included ear buds as well as a clip to clip the microphone onto your chest.
So that’s the first part of our 10 part tutorial series on the Nexus One also known as Google Phone. Be sure to check out all 10 parts on butterscotch.com. For butterscotch.com, I’m Andrew Moore-Crispin
