Hey! There Kent here. Tonight we are talking about Niche Marketing specifically finding a targeted Niche. There are really three keys to make any sales on the internet. First, you will need to find a Niche that has buyers in it, people that are actually buying something. Secondly, these folks have to have money that they are prepared to spend. I mean that kind of makes sense, right. And then third is finding out what it is they really need, not the stuff they want but what is that they really, really need. Now speaking of needs, if you need more ideas on Niche is in general, come visit my website nichetrends.net.
If you are having problems finding that targeted niche, there are lots of ways you can go about it. Surely you have some kind of a hobby or interest or even something you are doing your job, that it can be a great starting point. You can also leverage your friends and families and their hobbies and interests. You can also use market research, ad on the internet, or even other more specialized methods. I am going to talk about one of those today in this video.
If you look back at traditional mass marketing, the junk mail you get in your mail boxes everyday, telemarketing, when you get those phone calls while you are watching TV, they don't just use the shotgun approach, it cost them money to contact you. So they use some really highly targeted consumer lists of very focused groups of individuals. This way they can target just those people in the markets that are buying or they think may buy what they are selling.
These are great starting points for those of us who are doing traditional mass marketing and marketing on the internet to get some ideas on what we could do and how we could target our marketing. I would like to start with Lists.Nextmark.com that's where we are going to go next and I will give you an idea of how this works. This is the Nextmark website. Nextmark sells lists to mass marketers so that they can target their marketing to the exact group of people they want. What I use it for is to kind of break down a list into really laser focused groups, for my own internet marketing efforts.
If you go to the web page at the beginning or the beginning is this Mailing List Search Tool, it starts out with Golfers already entered and that's a great one to start with it. It gives you some of the great ideas. The whole Golf Niche is really broad. There are Golf clubs, there are Golf balls, Golf training, there are lots of things associated with Golfers. A lots of different types of golfers. Now you can market golf specifically something like golf.com as a matter of fact, is the shotgun approach, it fits the needs of most Golfers.
Does it fit everybody? No. If they are sending something out to someone, you know, they have a really good chance of missing the mark and not selling you exactly what you are looking for, because you are doing a shotgun approach. They are helping me to hit a lot of people. In my marketing I like to be a little bit more narrow focused, that's where this 60,000 mailing lists search comes in place, so we are going to go ahead and search for Golfers and see what comes up.
Right off the bat, I see Active Golfers, I see America's Golfers who travel and gamble. Affluent Golfers, African American Golfers, Avid Affluent Golfers. Now, if you can imagine an Avid-Affluent Golfer is someone who loves to golf, everywhere they go they golf, but they don't just go on to Disney and go golfing, they have to go to Pebble Beach. They have the money; they want to play at the best place. They are wearing the best golf clothes, they are wearing the best golf shoes, they were playing with the best Golf clubs and equipment, they even have really nice golf car. If you are not an Avid Affluent Golfer, you can probably care less about playing at Pebble Beach. That might be one of your dreams one day, but you are not going to go pay for an expensive vacation package where you can go play at Pebble Beach.
Just by narrowing it down that way, are you already, already able to find products that meet the needs of the specific Niche that you are looking for. Here is a one that's Hole in One Golfers. Now I can't imagine what they might want that somebody else might not want, but specifically they might have a need for trophy cases for their golf ball that they hit a hole in one way, something along those lines. Anyway, these give some great ideas, NationsBest Executive Golfers.
Executive Golfers maybe good golfers, they may not be good golfers, they may want to golf with other executives, they may want to find some retreat where they can be with other executives and play golf. So already on this first page, you know I found four or three, four different targeted niches. There is lots of other pages we could go keep going and find others, but the whole key is to just give some ideas here, find something that interests you dig down a little bit, find that little narrow focus niche and then focus with your sales efforts on that. Again, the key is to find a highly targeted niche, discover what their real needs are, show your solution and then the sales are just naturally going to follow.
Again, if you need some ideas for niches outside of this, this is my website at nichetrends.net; I give away a great report on hot trends right now for niches in the marketplace. Thanks for watching and I look forward to talking to you again.
