Guitarlessons.com, the number one name in Guitar Lessons Online
Hi! I’m Nathan Savage and in this lesson we’re going to be learning what it means when I tell you to put your first finger on the first fret or your second finger on the second fret. Basically, we’re going to be learning what numbers correspond to which fingers. So, let me give you a run down of exactly what I mean when you hear me say something like first fret on with your second finger or something like that.
So, your index finger is always going to be your first finger or number one when I refer to it on the lesson. Second finger is always going to be number two. Third finger will be number three or third finger and the fourth finger, your pinky will be number four. So, for instance let’s say that I tell you to grab a C note on your A string on the third fret with your second finger, all that mean is you're going to grab a C right here on the third fret of your A string with your second finger. If I tell you to grab let say an A note with your pinky or your fourth finger on the fifth fret of your high E-string, it means you should go to the fifth fret, one, two, three, four, five fifth fret of your high E-string with your fourth finger and grab that, just like that.
So, keeping you out for that in future lessons and you’ll know exactly what I mean.
