Out-of-Sight Sweets

Bruce Dan: Hi I'm Dr. Bruce Dan, I will sit down next to bowl candy, try to eat just one, not so easy is it? But what is that bowl wasn't as convenient as for one try to find out.

Researchers filled dishes with chocolate candy and put them in various locations in an office, for one week that treat replaced on the work desks, the next week you are moved to inside the desk to work. And the 3rd week to the top of file cabinets 6 feet from the workers, the results when the candy dish was sitting right on the desk the works is ate about 9 chocolates a day, and had open a jar to get in the sweets they ate about 6 and when the candy was farthest away they eat only 4 the longer adjust the workers to get to the candy more time they have to think about whether they really wanted it. Now the little chocolates may not same like a lot but, it adds up to 225 extra calories a day or 1125 calories a week, wow 3 weeks you are eating that much candy and you put all up a pound. So if you have a sweet juice and like to have some candy around, its okay you just try to keep it out reach, or better yet fill up the dish on your desk with the bowl of fruit, so make sure your co-workers leave some for you.
