Outside Attackers Warmup
Okay, so, we are going to teach Outside Attacking. We want to be, just for right now, on the 10 foot line. The big thing I want them to do is get their arms moving, nice, and to swing their arms.
The only thing I truly care about in terms of the arm swing is that, when they go down, they bend down, and we jump, we want to be in a Bow & Arrow position. So they are going to do a three of these, and then they go to down, and I want to see Bow & Arrow; with the left hand forming a C, the right hand cocked, elbow higher than our shoulder, and our wrist nice and firm, facing the net hopefully, not facing sideways.
Let's go and do that. A couple of swings and get up. It needs to be very explosive. When they come up, I want them to take them as high as they can. Their hip should be leading them, their back should be back, that left hand should reach high as it can. That's the big thing, it's getting their arms going to that position, their toe should come up off the ground.
