Ilysa: Hi I’m Ilysa.
Kira: And I’m Kira.
Ilysa: And you are watching Polymer Clay TV. In Polymer Clay TV, we teach you all the techniques and tips that you need to get started working the Polymer clay. What you see here are some of the different things we have made with Polymer clay. There is not much you can’t make with Polymer clay because it’s so versatile. Here, we have made a light switch cover and we have used some ink to decorate it. And here we’ve made some magnets and what do you have over there Kira?
Kira: I have a couple more light switch covers. This one also has ink at it. Notice how it looks almost like leather. And this one has been covered with—did you put powder pigments on there?
Ilysa: Yes.
Kira: Yes, rubbed on to the surface to give a metallic effect. And here, we have some interesting little tag booklets made with Polymer clay covers and it’s different scrap booking papers. And in this one, we actually have some photos in there. Did you print those out?
Ilysa: Actually they’re actual photos.
Kira: Are they photos?
Ilysa: I cut them out.
Kira: Cool, so you can make little cute brag books.
Ilysa: Exactly and you can also make some jewelry. This is a necklace I made where I actually stamped on to the clay. And then I strung it up. This is another necklace I have made where I took different colors of clay and form them into these designs that are called canes. And this is actually a cane, and with the cane you form your design and you can cut sizes off and the pattern runs from the front to the back. So, wherever you cut a slice, it has the design. There are so many tools you can use to work with Polymer clays, so basically it’s just a matter of finding what works for you and going for it. We hope you join us every Friday to listen or watch.
Kira: Yes, every other Friday we show a Polymer clay video on our website PolymerClayProductions.com and on the other Fridays in between, we have a podcast.
Ilysa: So make sure and watch and listen.
