What is with your diaper bag? Do you really have everything you need? You really need everything that you have? You and your diaper bag to be lean and clean. We are talking commando style here. You want to be able run in and out of any diaper changing situation.
Let us start with your gear, the bag itself. Now, they make all the time the diaper bags with flowers and crap but for the ultimate immobility and agility and if you want your husband to actually turn it to a point, I recommend your standard issue backpack. This is a specially made diaper bag backpack coping about it is it has its insulated pocket here to keep bottles warm and cold. If you are not holding around milk you do not really need it, any backpack will do. The key for the backpack is because your two hands are free.
Now, under what you are packing. First thing you are going to wipe out when you got a code red, the changes you have had. In case you are changing on a dirty surface. And trust me all the diaper changing surfaces are dirty. A lot of diaper bags with these things but pieces are sold separately and you can buy them one of these on the road. This one is cool because it has a little pocket for wipes. You can also go for disposable packs but just be sure to replace them or you are in trouble.
Now, the most important things in the diaper bag are the diapers. You want to have at least two to four because not every diaper makes it for the diaper changing process.
Next put a bundle of wipes. You cannot do without this or you are going to find yourself standing of a really dirty baby empty handed with a really dumb look on your face. You are also going to need some diaper rash wipes and the changing clothes because like I said not everyone makes it for the diaper changing process on escape. I always put one of this—all inclusive jonnies. That way I will not have to bring around socks, short pants. I have got it all in one.
Another essential? A handful plastic for dirty clothes and dirty diapers. Now diaper bag is not just for diapers you are going to also want to bring along a bark cloth and the all important destruction device A.K.A a toy. Now this toy could be the only thing between you and a screaming child. So, those are the basics, parents are down with the essentials. You may also want to bring depending upon your babies age and the weather, a coat and a hat, a light weight blanket, a bottle for milk, a tilling toy and a baggy full of food. I would also include in that baggy a disposable bib and a plastic spoon and a pacifier if you are lucky enough to have a baby who takes one.
Note that none of these items are bulky or heavy just like an expedition of Everest. This is all about weight, how much you are holding. You do not need to bring an entire break of wipes. I myself would carry an entire bulk of wipes with me I think even the baby when I was going to do it. You do not need to bring the nasal aspirator. You do not need to bring the anal thermometer. Okay, they are little light but these things add up and do you really need these things in public.
So, that is all you need for an outing with baby. Keep it simple. Keep it light. The baby is having enough.
