Palm Treo Pro Smartphone Review
Well, there’s no question that a lot of meetings take place in the board room but just those many take place and things like parks, restaurants and coffee shops. And you know, it really is all about work life balance. And to achieve that, you need to be able to have your information no matter where you are.
You don’t always want to be tattered down to your office chair. But we’re going to look at the Treo Pro Smartphone by Palm and this device tries to bridge that gap so that you can have all that information on the go, but still have a life as well.
This is running the latest version of the Windows Mobile 6.1 and it’s got a whole hosted feature in here that you’ll appreciate if you are on the go.
It’s got a built-in GPS so that you can have that full navigation, turn by turn directions and local search and instant on and off Wi-Fi as well when you’re out and about.
The thing I like about running the Windows 6.1 Mobile operating system is that it gives me that familiarity and comfort that I already have with Windows that I used on my laptop or my desktop at work.
Now, I can use the same the type of programs. It’s got Office Mobile built into it, so I can actually view things like PowerPoint files and I can also view and edit Word and Excel files and that’s kind of a nice feature.
A lot of folds in this category, you can only view, you can’t really make any changes so that’s not really handy if you’re on the go and you need to make that change to that important document. And I can make those changes in a number of ways.
I can use the full QWERTY keyword here and the number pad or I can use the stylus as well and that’s a great feature that I appreciate. I’ve got the option of using that keyboard or the stylus. It’s a full touch screen.
And just to give you an example of how easy it really is to use in the Excel part here, I can actually either type in or I can use the stylus and it’s got great handwriting recognitions so I can write in for example in this cell, January instantly recognize it, and then $25.00. You get the picture. It’s nice to have that flexibility to edit those documents if I want too on the go.
Of course, it’s got the full email capability as well. It’s got the Microsoft direct push technology and HTML email support and it’s also got the Mobile Outlook features that I need things like being able to sync up with my contacts, my calendar and my tasks.
Going back to that work life balance, there’s a couple of other features that I like. You can have your personal email on here things like Hotmail, Gmail even Yahoo mail and it has a built-in two mega pixel digital camera. You can take some pretty decent snaps and even video.
Overall, I like the design it’s got a nice slug black finished as you can see it’s got the nice full keyboard on the bottom and hotkeys as well two programs and applications that you used the most.
It’s the Treo Pro Smartphone by Palm. If you want to find out more information check out www.palm.com or go to the Get Connected Media site for additional videos.
