Party Games for Kids
Hello! I am Anna Copa Cabanna from Australia and we are here to talk about kids games for parties.
I was not really invited to too many kid’s parties when I was a kid, people are kind of mean to me, but I put all my ideas into my little head so I could talk to you later, all about my ideas—great, great, great, great party games. Here we go!
Tip #1: Pass the Parcel. One great party game for kids is what we like to call in Australia Pass the Passel, or in America Pass the Parcel. And what it is, is all the kids sit around in a cycle and you play music and you pass a passel around—that is something that is wrapped up. And somebody turns the music off.
When the music goes off, the kid who has the passel in his hand unwraps because it is wrapped-up in lots of different sheets of paper and eventually you get to the price and that is very exciting. I know, sort of, we get little sad when some kids want to win the prize. So what you might want to do is, in between the sheets of paper, put little prizes like lollies, candy, or maybe like a little sticker with a cute dog on it.
Tip #2 Musical Chairs. Another great party game for kids is Musical Chairs. I know I am only talking about music, but music is really, really fun and kids loved to dance. We should all dance, it is goo for you and makes you feel happy and it is expressive and kids should really learn how to express themselves more.
In musical chairs, you set up a bunch of chairs and everybody basically walks around or dances around in the circle around these chairs and there is only a certain amount of chairs.
So, when music stops, somebody have to turn off the music, everybody scrambles to sit on the chair and the person who does not get a chair have to leave the game and keeps going, you have to take way the chairs. So the person at the end wins a prize and prizes are always fun. But you can also, secretly, give a price to the best dancer, that is a kind of fun, is not it?
Tip 3#: Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Another great party game for kids is an oldie but goodie. Pin the Tail on the Donkey, we all know how it works. There is a big donkey on a wall and we blindfold the kids, spin them around till they get really, really dizzy and hand them the tail and see who can get the tail closest to the behind on the donkey.
If you are really crazy, you might want to make donkey sounds. I do not know, it is a kind of fun, and maybe the person you makes a great donkey sound, like the best donkey sound, wins a prize too. You got to give more prizes out.
Tip #4: The Piñata. Okay, another tip for a great party game for kids is the Piñata and it teaches us something about another culture, and knowledge is power—that is exciting. So Piñata is you hang from a ceiling or a tree and it is made out of Paper Mache and you can make it into anything you like—an animal or a star or a rainbow, that is exciting. And then, I guess, kids just bang on it until it falls apart candy flies everywhere, but safety first—be careful with that bat, crazy kids.
Okay, hope you have a great party. Play all those games, you will have fun. This is Anna Copa Cabanna signing off. Do not forget to check me out on www.myspace.com/annacopacabanna, two Ns and two Ns.
