Hey guys! It’s Aaron from freeandeasyguitar.com. You guys you know well this song here is a by Guns and Roses called “Patience”. So it has a standard tuning and sounds a little bit like this.
[Demonstration]
It’s something like that, really, easy on how to play. It’s actually and asked about tuning and you can play this one if you enjoy this lesson also check out everywhere it’s said on the thorn basically the same thing, it’s on chords. But any into it, the strum pattern I used in the whole song is basically the same. You start it out with set C but I use a Cadd9 because I like the high note as oppose too.
[Demonstration]
All right, so it sounds easy for you, so it starts out “Shed a tear because I'm missing you” strum pattern is just.
[Demonstration]
So were playing down-down-up-down-down-up-up-down-up-down-down-up switch down to a G chord down-down-up-down-down-up-up-down-up-down-down-up, okay. Third chorus in A chord down-down-up-down-down-up-up-down-up-down-up-down-down-up switch to a D down-down-up-down-down, okay but the D sounds like this.
[Demonstration]
All it is you’re going from a D to a Dsus4, yeah, so you go from a D to a Dsus2 you just take you’re middle finger of and you push you’re middle finger back on. And you put you’re pinky finger up so it’s kind of a third fret high and you down up take it off best at D little finger off that’s right with the D, so it sounds last line “Girl I think about you every day now” sounds like this.
[Demonstration]
It’s like that so all you know early is changing this note from regular B.
[Demonstration]
That’s all you’re going if you just leaving that was this third to this high E is going to be tapping on it, this two is stick it all time. And it’s not really getting when you see this one, its start out at no finger also at second fret how it is covered. And you got to open, second fret, third fret, second, open, second that’s was just like.
[Demonstration]
All right, that’s really the whole song and when you get to the part a little bit later where it’s whispering patience, this thing “Ah, and yeah” it’s just axle rose and you just stay in the same chords for a long time.
One thing you there, is you hear a real fast strumming.
[Demonstration]
It’s just down-up-down it works really fast, okay. So when you get that part it’s not because.
[Demonstration]
Just like that, okay, basically down at down at the regular D they’re going down-up-down-up-down-up-down-up-down-up and repeating it’s really simple. All of these with variations, you just remember it’s all in that high E string.
[Demonstration]
It’s like that, that’s basically is the rest of the song. It’s all that you can sharp the chords that are mentioned there and there is an E minor mixed in there during the chorus. The chorus is the C to G, C, E minor, C, okay.
So the only difference between the verse and the chorus is the E minor it goes to the verse at C, G, A, D and D variations. The chorus is C, E, C, G minor, C, G and then the D and the D variation.
So if embed is not clear enough I’m going to go ahead and sing it for you real quick. All right guys so right I’m going to sing the verse and chorus so you guys kind of get feel for it, it starts out in C.
[Demonstration]
That’s where he is whispering patience also. But good luck with the song guys with the help check out freeandeasyguitar.com and they’re like 240 lessons in a lot of cool form and stuff so check it out good luck and keep on playing.
