Hey guys, how’s it going? Today’s video is going to be basically a review on my tact vest or tactical vest also known as an LVB or load bearing vest. Recently I’ve gotten a few different request and questions about the vest, so that’s what I’ll be doing today. Also, I’ll be showing you this, which is a thigh ring platform. It basically fits around your thigh and it has molly webbing and Alice clip attachments to it, so it’s pretty versatile and I’ll be showing you that too.
Also I want to dedicate this video to the patriots and sheep dogs out there and you guys know who you are and the future patriots, sheep dogs, and I know some of you are wondering why I would have such gear. Why do I have guns because they’re evil and they’re only meant to kill and that’s far from the truth? Guns do not kill people, its people that kill people, you can kill someone with a hammer if you wanted too in fact, a lot of people have been killed with a hammer and it’s just a tool like anything else. Guns don’t shoot by themselves; it takes individual to shoot, most of the people that own firearms legally are responsible and safe individuals. In fact, it’s not easy for someone who is not sane or responsible to get a firearm in the first place.
I have a concealed carry permit form by estate, which allows me to carry handguns legally on my person out in public. To get that permit is not easy, you have to take a safety course, you are fully mentally and criminally background checked. You have to pay fees and you basically have to prove that you’re a safe responsible individual and you will not be issued at least in my state without that. Even if they ban all the guns, the bad guys would still have them, they would still murder people with them, they would rape people, they would rob people. There needs to be an equilibrium with the bag guys and the good guys, that’s why good guys, law-abiding hardworking responsible citizens should be armed and every time they make a new law about firearms restricting man capacity or whatever it is. It just hurts the good people, no matter what the bad guys are always going to get their hands on weapons.
For you nay sayer’s out there who are unprepared, when the shit hits the fan and you don’t have anything to protect yourselves with, you don’t have any food, the sheep dogs and the people you’re criticizing now are going to be the ones protecting your sorry unprepared asses.
Now for the review of the actual vest, this vest is not an expensive black hawk vest. Its not a very expensive vest, its nice in quality and what I’m doing is reinforcing the stress points like up here or it connects on the back and in different areas. Also what I’m doing is modifying the vest and customizing it for my purposes, to suit me in how I need it. One thing I did was rip off the pocket on this side, not rip it but cut it nicely off and I made this little holster for my secondary weapon or my sidearm and basically this holster mimics one of my favorite concealed carry holsters. The Vianche minimalist that I use for some of my handguns and it has this little retention loop and like that one this one is very simple, let me take the gun out and just to show that this gun is safe, empty magazine and there’s nothing in there.
All right, so what I did is with this I used heavy duty upholstery nylon thread, which is very strong, and I double stitched it or used two for each loop I did, I did two lines in there. I don’t know what the correct term or whatever. This is just some like rubber band type of material, you see this stuff on other gear too, bags and stuff and that’s just a retention loop and so this can just slide the gun in there like so and if I don’t have to, I don’t have to use the retention loop. That’s just for some extra security but its pretty damn snug without it, so if I need to access the gun quickly. I can and also what I did which I thought was kind of smart is the piece of nylon that I used already had this Velcro on it, so if I want to, I can attach other things to it. It just gives me a little bit more options, makes it more versatile, over here I just sewed it on an American flag patch, it thought that was kind of cool. So on this there are various pockets it’s not molly at all. All the pockets are built in and that’s why I’m customizing them.
The nylon is pretty decent, the stitching isn’t the best but its okay, like I said I’m reinforcing all the points and I’m not a rich person and I get what I can afford and having this best is better than not having any vest at all. I know there’s really expensive nice black hawk vest out there but at this time I cannot afford them, I have too much stuff on list to buy including ammo and magazines and all kinds of different stuff. So by the time I get done with this, this is going to be a super strong vest anyways though, so that’s a way you can save money if you’re interested. Right here I have a little pocket for my penlight, this is the stream light stylus pro, and you guys may have seen a review on that that I did. Also there's a little pen thing here, I mean you can put whatever you want in it.
Right here I have hearing protection, earplugs, a GEMRS, and an FRS radio. This radio has like a 25-mile range to it, so also, you can attach a speaker or microphone and it’s just a basic radio, its good quality though, its midland. This one, for a set of this it was $17.00 and that’s a really good deal, the only thing about it is it did not come with the rechargeable batteries but if you’re in a crisis situation, chances are you might not have power anyways, so rechargeable batteries wont do you any good. And if I want to, I can go out and buy some set of rechargeable batteries and charger for this.
Next on the back, actually let me show you this, there is adjustments everywhere, so I’m a pretty big and tall person like 6’2, so I can adjust this to fit me perfectly. If I wanted to switch this with a friend I was with, they can wear it too if they were smaller, there's adjustments everywhere. There’s also padding right here and on the shoulders straps and in different areas, on the back you can see I have a rain poncho and that’s what this loose are setup for. For your rain gear and there's also some various loops on—I’m going to have to take this off and I’m going to—there's some nylon loops right here that you can use for different things. I haven’t really found a use for them yet but maybe in the future I will.
The back is water bladder compatible and that’s a pretty good feature, although I prefer to use a regular military style canteen and the main reason for that is because if the bladder gets stabbed or poked by a branch or wrecked in anyway, you’re screwed. And those bladders aren’t very thick, I know there are some that are better qualities than others but I prefer having a really durable military style of canteen and also this goes along with my cooking system because I have a canteen cup for this too. So I’ll be using that in here, also on this vest are various magazine pockets, this magazine is for my AK47, which is right here. This is my primary shit hit the fan weapon and that’s it. Its unloaded, safety is number with firearms, remember that.
