And of course, one of the most important reasons for the load-bearing vest for the first place is for holding extra ammo and magazines to keep your weapons firing. Your weapons are useless without ammo and magazines.
All right now onto the Molly thigh, rig platform and I got this at a local military surplus store for $12.00 and I believe its actual US military issued. The quality on it is outstanding and the little buckle say national molding, so if there's any soldiers out there maybe you know what that means is actual government issue. Whether it is or it isn’t, I don’t really care, its very good quality and I like what it can do for me, I don’t know if this is the knife I’m going to bring however it would be a very good one especially if your out on the woods. You can easily defend yourself with this knife. I like the fact that it has a kayak sheet, it just snaps in and out really easily and attaches to this on the Alice clip area and this is intended I believe to be a canteen holder.
Although some people say, it’s meant for M16 magazines, so I’m really not sure. On one of the pockets, I have face paint camouflage face paint. Very valuable item to have and in here I just have some MRE’s and like I said, I don’t know if this is going to be the exact way I have it setup. I’m still working on it; here are just some examples of what I could do. You could put nine millimeter magazines in this little side pockets if you want. It depends and also this has a mesh pocket right in there, so you could probably put a map or whatever that you could fit in there you could put in there. And this is pretty comfortable; it allows you to bend down if you need to. It would probably be a good idea to get another for this side to balance the weight out a bit.
These buckles are pretty sturdy as to like an elastic band, so when you’re running or whatever it would move with you. These are adjustable, I could also put a gun holster here if I wanted to for my sidearm, I don’t know, I like having the gun here on the vest, so with the thing I made. But anyways, that’s that, the Molly thigh rig platform
Great, so that’s basically, what I have to show you as far as the vest and the leg system for right now. Then I can't stress it enough, this system is still being worked on, I’m still modifying the vest, finding out what works for me best and what doesn’t. I’m going to be adding additional items and taking away some of the items I might have shown, maybe. We’ll see how it goes, I’m always learning everyday, like I said I’m not the expert, the ultimate expert on this. I do know a little bit however and its important to improvise and to know how to improvise and to be able to customize and find out what works for you, so like I said by the time I’m done reinforcing this vest. It’s going to be extremely strong with the upholstery and nylon thread that I’m using, double stitching it.
It will be good when I’m finished and I’ll probably make a video about it later on as an update or something. The other thing is I want this to be able to work with my bag outback system, which is very important. Because if I need to leave the house, I want to be able to bring my Alice pack and this vest, so I’ve seen in one of my good buddies videos. He was able to put his vest over his back pack, I still need to toy around with that a little bit but it’s definitely a good idea to be able to just grab your bag and flee your home if you need to. So I’ll be testing that out and I’ll have future updates on it and that’s basically it for this video. Thank you guys for watching, I appreciate and be safe out there and I’ll talk to you later, bye.
