Sally Trelford: Its quiet difficult with him now because he likes to run and he likes to be independent and so it really depends were you are and I did get some ranges and he hates them but sometimes you feel that, that's a good idea.
Roger Vincent: When you are crossing the road always make sure that the toddler is holding your hand no matter how much they want to be independent and to do this on their own and you can take the opportunity while you are doing that to talk to them about while you are crossing the road in that way. Stop, look, listen check the child is still holding your hands securely and when you think it is safe to cross then cross the road.
Sally Trelford: He is quiet good now he just understands that he has to hold your hand near a road he understands that he has to hold the hand crossing road and doesn't stop on the road on the crossing road but it can be a little bit of a struggle and you just have to be very careful particularly to shopping and looking at things that it doesn't take a second for things to go in the other direction.
Roger Vincent: If you can use a recognize crossing the zebra crossing or a pelican crossing if the reason one of the those around try to find a place were you can be seen clearly and were you can see the traffic clearly and were you can listen fro the traffic and look around and you might sure that you are safe when you are crossing the road.
Sally Trelford: We always make sure that we stop the beside of the road and check both ways to cross and that's quiet easy a less cause indeed you always some body will stop.
Roger Vincent: Well, unfortunately we do see parents who push the buggy at in front of the traffic almost to stop the traffic that should never be done the buggies should remain on the pavement until it is safe for you to do so and you shouldn't be crossing between park cars because you cant see clearly under the matrass cannot se you. School age children are more at risk on the road than anywhere else in their lives younger children should be at in about on the road they should be supervised and parents should be teaching them road side lessons one of the problems we are finding is some parents these do it fast because it is strange or danger or because they worried about it in spite of their children in roads, could cool their children away from that danger they put them in because over the time what we would like to save and do is when they get to school age is to walk to school more often and teach them road safety lessons on the way but if you have younger children it is never too early to start teaching them lessons so when they are in the push chair talk to them about why you are crossing the road in that way and slowly they will start to pick up the road safety lessons that could save their lives and the future.
Sally Trelford: Its always, it's always a the person who tempt to stop and then keep going across the road and do get the other side. I'm not sure how much the moment you have understanding but I'm hope you were just setting a good practice about future.
