Scott: Okay, what we have here is a catch basin. We are going to use this little hook here, pop it out.
Interviewee: Well, look at that dirties build up around the catch basin.
Scott: Yes, that is quite a bit of dirt. What we want to do here is we will take our suction unit and pump all this out right along there. Get that drainage exposed and get the flusher down in there. Right, get that vacuum in and then, see what is going to happen now is we are going to bring out all the dirt that settled in from when you wash them on your driveway, from when the rain brings the water down and all the sediments that has build up in the bottom is now going to go up the vacuum, into the tract and can go away.
Interviewee: Wow! Now, that something there, I am sure, there is a lot deeper than that.
Scott: Yes.
Interviewee: So, that is just debris and the residual of the drive.
Scott: Yes. Well, definitely we do not want this plugging up. It can cause a lot of problems later on.
Okay, this is the flusher again. We are going to stick it inside this four-inch pipe. We are going to turn it on and we are going to flush that pipe clean.
Interviewee: Okay.
Scott: What we are doing is we are bringing all that water and dirt and stuff back out of the pipe in your catch basin. Usually, we can run this thing about 800 PSI but it will go all the way up to 3000. Just blow everything out of there.
Interviewee: Wow!
Scott: You like to keep it fairly minimum so that you do not damage any of the pipes.
Interviewee: Well, you can certainly see that there is dirt coming back, notice the color of the water.
Scott: Yes. Once we get to the other side, it should just pop right out.
Interviewee: Oh! There she blows.
Scott: Yes. Now, what we want to do is just bring that all the way back, clean out that pipe. Make it brand new again.
Interviewee: And all that will come back into the sump then you will clean it out here.
Scott: Yes. It would pump it out. Clean it all here and the water from the top is draining down into the sump which will clean again.
Interviewee: Now that everything has been flushed back, Scott. Everything is now in the main sump and now you are pumping in the main sump out.
Scott: That is right. Everything has been brought to here. We are going to pump it out. Clean it all out, check the pumps, check the flow, make sure every thing works great and now your system is clean.
