They are incredibly smooth and all the way cast aluminum body, cast aluminum ball here and the movement is within Teflon housing for incredibly smooth movement.
The whole head is controlled by only two little buttons here. This one will control the pan and the big one here will control all the head movement. It is a very soft movement even to have a very solid stock. The camera is fixed on the top. There is a blocking lever here and there is a release pin right here that will allow the plate to be removed easily, so once the plate is in position, it is fixed in position, you camera can not fall.
