Keith: If you like, come and stand by here for me please Sian. Okay, is it Mila? Mila is gonna take your photograph, okay. So let me just turn this projector off so it’s not dazzling you. Okay, so the picture is now on the screen. Right, I’m just taking the border off guys. Just for a second. Okay, this time Mila, so what I like you to do is stand there like this to your right, okay. So look at this, look at the, that’s it, Mila get that shot. Work it, come on Sian, woh. That’s it, cool. Okay, guys so what happen now is we’re taking a picture of Sian, she’s coming to the left hand side as you saw before, I just need to drop her out of the software. Okay, so now, I know that Sian likes Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas. Is that right?
Sian: Yes.
Keith: Yes, okay, so now we’ve got a picture, if you can just, that would be. Now we’ve got a picture of Sian looking at Caesar’s Palace, okay. And this time what I want you to do, I want you do the hula hula for me, okay.
Sian: The what?
Keith: Hula hula, okay. Like this, okay. That’s it, she’s got it. Okay, Mila, just… go on Sian work it Sian, yey, cool. See we’re having a bit fun with Sian, now again notice it did this for us, okay.
Sian: So Keith, tell me about what you do?
Keith: Right, my business could’ve been portraits, we are event photography specialist. Mean we photograph events in general, social events generally. We use to do a sporting events but tend to concentrate on the social side. We do currently lots of school programs we’re doing at the moment. They’re very much in, and I suggest people get into that side of the event photography business. I also ran training days as a tutor in Manchester and work alongside Sony, Express Digital and Photomart to help train photographers.
Sian: And how do things today’s gone so far?
Keith: So far it’s gone really well. It’s been lots of interest. People are warming up to the idea of using new stuff like the green screen. To get out new kind of edge in the market and people have come up and said it’s been a really good day so far.
Sian: So this new printer, why should be that on the list of any photographers equipment?
Keith: Okay, the unique thing about the, the Sony UPdar300 is that, you can print not only gloss in there but you can also print a luster. So it makes the printer universal, you can use at events, coz it’s very fast, I think it’s 15 seconds when 8 by 6. It’s very easy to load, but not only can it it’s easy to load and it’s fast, you can print a luster. Which means that if you got a studio or in mostly you can use it for wedding albums to print up to 8 by 6. You can use the print in the studio where traditionally you won't use gloss in a studio.
Sian: And this, this kind of things is perfect for events. You’ve been using a green screens day, haven’t you?
Keith: Yeah, we’re gonna use the high key, my high key’s set up and also the green screen, absolutely perfect printer, yeah.
Sian: So really fun idea I think for events to have all different backgrounds and…
Keith: Yeah, it’s new. And there is something at the UK at the moment doing green screen, but it is very much in market there for it. And we incorporate it into our business now, so hopefully, people get on board and start using green screen. Get the express to do the software and really fulfill people’s, you know, what they’re gonna do, ambitions and stuff like that.
Sian: Absolutely. So, what are the top tips you can give people?
Keith: My top tip for today would be professional, sort out your work flow, make sure you work first fast, get people to view that images very quickly and to produce the images really quickly. The quicker you produce the images, the quicker you get the money, and the quicker you build your business.
