Pilates Push-Up

Speaker: Today, move of the week is going to be a pushup and I know you are saying I can’t do a pushup but you can do a pushup. I am going to show you three different ways for you to vary pushups so that you can learn how to do them and increase your strength along the way.

The first one is the pilates pushup. Pilates pushup almost everyone can do this one. You are going to lay all the weight down on your stomach; your hands go directly next to your chest. You are going to lift your ankles up so that you can be also handicapped. You are going to start in a down position, abs up to -- height, push yourself up until your arms are straight and come all the way back down. That one second rest between each one really makes it different on being able to complete the routine. Very important that you don’t come up with your back arch, that no, no. Remember you are going to suck in your abdominal it’s almost as if your abs are coming up and you have to push your chest to keep up with them. That’s the level-one push up.
