Making it with Darren
Hello, welcome to a cheesy episode of “Making it with Darren.” I’m your host Darren Barr and the only reason I say that is because the reason is lots of cheese. We’re making shrimp Parmesan and this is a really fun, easy recipe that anyone can follow along. You just start off with about a 30 count of good, fresh shrimp and about four cloves of fresh garlic. We’re going to fry these babies up for a quick saute with a little butter and with some nice seasoning and then we’re going to put our shrimp parmesan together. It’s so easy. You guys are going to love this.
So, our shrimp are frying up. We’ve put in with about two tablespoons of butter and the four cloves of fresh garlic. You want to eat this up. We’ve got a little bit of Larry’s season salt and we’re going to season this with some Larry’s season pepper. You can also use this fresh cracked peeper, it’s fine, a little paprika and that’s it. That’s all it takes. These are going to take maybe a couple of minutes and then we’ll be ready to assemble our shrimp parmesan.
While you’re waiting you guys, make sure that you pretty heat your oven to 350 degrees because that comes next important. So our shrimp are done and we’ve got a nice dish here. If you don’t have a dish like this, you can probably use glass pie pan or a glass dish and then we’re just going to low this in. Any type of bake safe dish we’re working on so we’re just going to spread this out evenly.
Now here’s the fun part, this is so easy. So we’ve got some classical tomato basil marinara sauce. Any type of marinara sauce is good. Any type of pasta sauce you want. We’re just going to dump a little bit on top here, just enough to coat them. Then we’ve got some mozzarella cheese and we’ll probably put out about a cup and a half on top of this. I want to coat it nice and good so it's just covered with cheese. Like I said, depending on the size of your pan, you may need less and you may need more. Right now, we’re probably using about a cup and a half to reduce this size and then we’re going to top them with a little bit more of Marinara sauce. Alright, just spread that a little bit and make that nice and we could use a little bit, why not?
Alright, last bit is parmesan cheese. We’ve got some grated cheddar or parmesan cheese. If you want to grate your own fresh, that’s fine. You can get this all gentle in the bag then we’re just going to dust the top of this. The parmesan cheese and throw on a couple slices of fresh basil. Now, these are wilts inside the oven and that’s okay. And we’re going to go through on this in the oven at 350 degrees. We’ll check on it a little later.
Alright guys, 15 minutes are in. Our shrimp parmesan is pretty much ready and get a good grip on it. Put this up here. You can take a look here, everything is nice and hot, the parmesan cheese is melted, our basil’s withered and our mozzarella is nice and melted. I can’t wait to serve this up.
And we’re going to have a good party here. Oh, my God! It's so good. The cheese is all melted, everything just looks good. We’re going to finish this off with a little bit of nice red pepper flake, just on the top there. That is our delicious, easy shrimp parmesan.
