Hey what’s going on? Neil here from Guitar Tricks Channel at GuitarTricks.com/channel and we got your user request lesson and a little tip all the week for you. You guys can register on the website for free and request a lesson or do it at any where of the locations where you see your video, YouTube etc.
Here is your tip for the week in regards tuning. If your string is a little bit sharp and you need to come down. Tip of the week is to go below the note and comeback up, because what happens is, it sounds like it’s in tune it isn’t tune and then just go to play and band a little and move around a little bit and also releases and then your string is flat and okay I just tuned my guitar, what’s going on?
So what you want to do when you’re coming down from a note? Is tune below the note and then bring it back, that way the string is being pulled through the knot like this and when you find this flat you just stop right there, so—

Or just get one of this and it’s all good. Here’s a request lesson, pinch harmonics this little thing.
[Demonstration]
Rick Blocker, a member from Guitar tricks wrote said he was kind of struggling with getting the sound up and maybe quick run down hopefully it will get to you right here and you can do it too. Basically there’s harmonics all over the guitar as you probably know. Pretty much where the fret markers are—
[Demonstration]
Also beyond the fret board over in the pick up area—

So when you’re doing the pinch harmonics is you grab them in one stroke instead of a two hands as your pick comes down you kind of twist a little bit and what happens is the skin on your thumb kind of grab at, if you like if you’re going like this but you’re doing it with one hand pick and touch.
[Demonstration]
All in one of that, that’s pretty much it. It’s pretty simple. I know there’s a good place you grab pinch harmonic is on the 4th fret, finger any string around the 4th fret
[Demonstration]
That’s for the G string but you can get any of that. Also___ trick if you do pull off on the 4th, 2nd and open and just slightly run your finger over.
[Demonstration]
When you pull out there’s harmonics too instead of that tune.
[[Demonstration]
Well, an easy. Here’s the request lesson pinch harmonics. Come on by and give us your own request and hopefully we can get some that suited for you too to help you when you’re playing. Come back next week, we might get some more of good stuff for you right here at guitartricks.com/channel. See you guys.
