Playing Baseball: Inside Soft Toss Drill

This next drill is called the inside soft toss drill.

On this particular drill, I am going to work Jake on pitches on the inside part of the foot. I am going to take the soft toss ball showing the ball, pull it back and throw it towards his front hip. This will give him a feel for hitting a pitch that is on the inside part of the foot. Once again, we are working on rhythm, timing, and the proper sequence of the swing.

Jake is going to work hard on trying to keep his hands inside the ball and swinging through the ball. He is going to try to pull his hands through on the inside part of the ball.

Great swing, you see that lining drive that is exactly what you want from the hitter. Great follow through on Jake, noticed on the high follow through that is exactly what you want.
