The purpose of this zone gap offense is to find holes in the defense. To find whole defense or to create a holes in the defense and then to put ball in the hole. That is the purpose of the zone gap offense. Now, occasionally you will have teams that are exceptionally good in zone defenses, and they will be very aggressive. So, these players will be out here very quickly and everybody will rotate very well. They know their responsibility. They all rotate very well.
When this occurs, you are going to have to have the ability with your three perimeter people to square up and triple threat, step back to the blocks four. He is going to square up on so that path triple threat. He is going to read this defender. He is going to take him down to a low splitters position, read his feet and you are going to simply take one dribble this way, jump stop, let me show it real quick. He is going to read the defender. He is going to take him down. He is going to take one dribble, jump stop to try to pull the defense in. Big eyes shooting the gap or either has a dump in down low or if he has got help defense, he has an open shot or rotation for a rotation for an open shot.
So, at this point after we have made our five passes, we had in one a dribble role. The one dribble role where, come up on aggressively. He takes the defender low. He is trying to get the double team, the dump in or the kick out. The kick out.
