Saundra Diardichuk: Hi! Welcome to WatchMojo. I am Saundra Diardichuk, your host. Today we're going to share with you a hot new trend that's taking off, EroTeknique dancing. Hi! Heather.
Heather Downe: Hi!
Saundra Diardichuk: So tell us a little bit about this EroTeknique. What is it?
Heather Downe: It's a really hot way to exercise, for sure. It's basically a dance class. So the girls come in and they expect to perhaps not lose weight but certainly lose inches. And they get a great warm-up and they can go for erotic dance, they can go for chair, they can go for pole, anything they want, but it's -- they are really enjoying it.
Saundra Diardichuk: What does a basic class look like?
Heather Downe: Hour long, and it starts off with the floor, stretch, really good stretch, you never get a stretch like this anywhere else and then we have depending on which class you're taking, if it's a pole class we have specific exercises for the pole and then it goes into choreography.
Choreography in a regular erotic class can be anything from sliding down a wall, crawling on the floor, working with the chair, whatever and I guess if anyone who get into the special classes then you have your apparatus, you know exactly where you are going to be going.
Saundra Diardichuk: It sounds like stripping, is there stripping involved?
Heather Downe: Well, no not really, but they are some girls who would like to know even if they never use it how to do that. So we have a class called Burlesque, and those girls have ten different costume things that they -- accessories that they bring in and they learn how to take them off the gloves and the fans and things like that.
Saundra Diardichuk: So there is no nudity.
Heather Downe: Absolutely!
Saundra Diardichuk: It's just sensuality.
Heather Downe: No. So even if we did do something where we might be slipping off above, off of our shoulders, the girls are encouraged to wear a bodysuit underneath where they are taking off pants or thing like that, but yeah, those the choreography so just kind of little bit of tease rather than actual stripping.
Saundra Diardichuk: What do men think about this, when you talk to men about it?
Heather Downe: Well, it's not mixed. Every guy is extremely interested, it's like really you do that, can I send my wife, can I come watch, so and so, can I be a judge, all that kind of fooling around, and it's all in good fun and that's fine but there is absolutely no man that come through our doors.
Saundra Diardichuk: And before a woman let's say takes the class, are they nervous? I mean, when you get your first students in and they are all new and they are all beginners do you have a sense that they are nervous and you need to explain to them exactly what you are going to do?
Heather Downe: We don't do too much explaining when they first come in, but the hardest part about this type of course is coming to the first class, because they really don't know what to expect, even with the website like I have where we try our best to explain it, it's really not, it's coming in, that's the brave part.
So I would say that if I get 10 phone calls, only two girls actually show up and I take my hat off to them.
Saundra Diardichuk: If these girls do come in, what would they wear? What do you wear to a class like this?
Heather Downe: Really anything, anything that you can move in that you should be expected to wear something that they can sit down on the floor, squat, they can bend their knees, do everything in, but not necessarily dance wear, like something stretchy, if they want.
Saundra Diardichuk: And high heels?
Heather Downe: Oh, yes and high heels, yeah, bring the matte and bring your high heels.
