The response, the handling and also the sound is quite unique as you will find it in a Porsche car and on the other hand we've very established luxury vehicles that were the benchmark for us to be achieved and I think with the Panamera, you also can go on long distance trips. You will have a very quite environment and the car goes very smooth and the drivers and the co-driver will be happy on long distance.
Female Speaker: The muscular appearance of the Panamera reflects the many classic virtues of Porsche styling, especially from the side you recognize the Porsche genes that began a long time ago with Porsche number 1.

Female Speaker: Also from the front, the kinship with Porsche's sports cars is unmistakable. With its characteristically shaped headlights, the Panamera shows off old familiar elements, measuring just under 5 meters in length. The Sedan boasts a generous amount of interior space. The trunk of the Panamera S holds 445 liters and with the back seats folded down, an incredible 1263 liters fit in here. That's nearly 10 times as much as in the 911.

Female Speaker: Our fast sports car and comfortable Sedan all rolled into one. How did Porsche do it?
Dr. Michael Steiner: We did put a lot of technical highlights into the Porsche Panamera. On the one side, we took all of technology from the sports cars the 911 Carrera for example and on the other side from the SUV of the exiting Cayenne car and additional new technology.
First, I would like to mention the adaptive air suspension system with additional air volume. This additional air volume gives you a maximum of comfort and switching off a part of the air volume, you get a real sporty set up with the car. When you look at the Panamera, you don't see any spoiler. Reaching 90 kilometers per hour the adaptive spoiler comes out and it's adaptable in height and angled. Thus we can provide best aerodynamics on the one hand and in sport mode, a maximum of down force.
The top of Saline Panamera Turbo has two additional flaps that broaden the surface of the spoiler to gain even more down force and we're proud having a Gran Turismo car that has real down force on the real axle.

Dr. Michael Steiner: First of all, I would like to mention the automatic start-stop system. This is first in class with big limousines and automatic transmissions. The engine stops automatically, if you stop at the red light for example and when you lift the brake, the engine starts immediately and you can smoothly take off. This saves in your European driving cycle 0.6 liters and in a typical city driving cycle 1, up to 11/2 liters depending on the Panamera S or the Panamera Turbo.
Second, we optimized the drag coefficient of the Panamera with a sleek body and with the spoiler in the rear. Now, this helps to reduce drag and next we reduced friction, friction losses. Both technologies save about 0.7 liters on 100 kilometers.

Female Speaker: The engines available for the Panamera start with a 400 horsepower V8 for the Panamera S and 4S. In the Turbo version you get a whopping 500 which allow the Gran Turismo to shoot from rest to 100 in only 4 seconds. Porsche plans a hybrid version of the Panamera for 2011.
